Rooms were ok, bed was comfortable and the staff were helpful. The walk into Doncaster took just over 10 minutes. The hotel was fairly basic which is what you expect from a budget hotel.

I was offered this accommodation as I was homeless through the council! A new receptionist came on this evening that apparently for absolutely no reason in his sado brain thought it would be a good idea to make false accusations against me have me thrown into the street and check out the best part it was our government funded police force that unquestionably took the businesses side and actually assisted as a taxi to my new pavement side home

Needed new mattress as springs were poking through also the walls and ceiling needed a lick of paint. Staff very friendly and polite. Clean towels every day along with coffee, milk and tea refills.

I said here last Aug with my partner. We were going to a friends wedding and it was only place available due to Doncaster races taking most places. We thought we were lucky... we would be very mistaken. Good points - The front desk staff were helpful, friendly and kind. - Breakfast did have a good range of items. Although there was a list saying what each guest had "alotted" to them. - Bed was comfortable to sleep in. Bad points - room was dusty and dirty, the shower had bad mould and limescale and the shower head fell on me while I used it. - The walls had what looked like blood stains (maybe paint) on them. - The heater was broken, it being Aug it wasn't bad for us but in colder month would be clearly bad. - No net curtain on ground floor, we left curtain open to have light in room. We thought that as we were around back it would be oki. Nope, some man appear walking around and could have seen me drying off from my shower. We then kept curtain closed. - Toaster wasn't clean and smoke from it set of the fire alarm. - Found that some of the white bread was mouldy. Staff took it way after we mentioned it and we got new bread. We have come to call this place "Doncatraz" and is only good if you need a place to crash for a night.

This place is a dream. The staff treat you like royalty. Manny friendly chaps in base ball caps and trainers outside. The rooms are first class. The bar is great this was a dream come true. Well done

We arrived Friday, check in went smoothly. Room was an ok size especially since we would only be sleeping and showering there. The bed, however, was 2 single mattresses pushed together on a base and it worried me that they'd split during the night. On top of that, my mattress dipped down near the pillow so woke up with a sore neck. We paid for breakfast but wasn't expecting no hot food. White bread and no wholemeal option, crumpets that were out of date and both days my partner and I were left feeling ill after eating it. Staff on Saturday morning were really helpful drying some clothes for me that got wet en route. They dried them and put them into our room but then left the door unlocked so anyone could walk in. We got pulled on this when we arrived back early Saturday evening and reprimanded. One annoying feature was that when the key card was slotted into the slot then it had a tendency to switch itself off along with all the power and upon reinserting it it'd switch the tv on. Yes it's cheap and cheerful with absolutely no frills included so if that's what you're looking for then yes I recommend it. Otherwise, not a chance.

The reception staff was nice. But alas, the place was poorly renovated and maintained. Bad mould in the bathroom, the TV in the room got no signal for any of the BBC channels (which I can only imagine is some weird way they think they're avoiding paying for TV licences), I had to put the seal back on the shower door as water was streaming out of the unit, the curtain rail looked like it was about to fall off the wall, the bedroom window didn't seal when it was locked, the double bed was just a frame someone made with two single mattresses put on top, and because the heater circuit knocked off during the night the room was cold when I woke up. Check out was at eleven, but when I left my room at twenty past ten, homekeeping was cleaning the room next to mine, so they clearly don't wait till checkout to enter vacated rooms. Wouldn't recommend unless you're in a pinch and you don't really have any other options

Filthy place, rooms stuffy, plastic mattress, bathroom is not hygienic. The old man at night seems more interested in sleezing himself around the females. Seems we were advised it is a halfway place for ex prisoners. We do not recommend, couldn’t get out fast enough

Staff told me the wrong location of my room, whilst also not activating my keycard. Then my door didn’t close or open without lifting it and the heater didn’t work and the window wouldn’t close. Not great when it got down to 8c. Also there’s a security guard there 24/7. They also lock the door after 2300.
