“Cardiff Bay is a vibrant waterfront area in Cardiff, Wales, that offers a mix of attractions, dining, and entertainment. It's known for its mix of old and new architecture, including the historic dockland and modern buildings like the Wales Millennium Centre. Visitors can enjoy walking paths, boat tours, and various dining options. The area has also been praised for its cosmopolitan feel and family-friendly activities.”
“Amazing staff, helpful, attentive, kids enjoyed it, a variety of hit and cold food available, parking on site, doesn't cost a fortune. Great place”
“The place to go if you want to get photos of kingfishers. You might get lucky and see one quickly, you might have to wait many hours, but generally if you're patient you will be rewarded. The first hide is best as the perches are a lot closer. Nice walks around the area as well, with beautiful colours along the old canal and you can loop around to the river Taff. Plenty of other wildlife around and kids will enjoy the hides when the rabbits and squirrels turn up.”
“A lovely park to walk and relax. I added photos of what it looks like on a sunny day and also on a foggy day, but both give a sense of how calm the park is!”
“This park has something for everyone! Great for cycling and rollerblading on the wide paths. There are outdoor fitness equipment stations, tennis courts, and even a small cafe. It's the heart of the community—always buzzing with life, yet you can always find a quiet corner. Love it here!”
“We visited in the late spring the park was beautiful. We will go back in the autumn to enjoy the autumn colours.”
“Quite calm place with ample of space and easy walk and cycle path to reach Cardiff Met. Uni and Western Ave. Tesco extra. As well as there is nice little dam at the end of the park over the Taff revier and closer to the Western ave. bridge nice little sore area to spend night and have a fire place but not good when there is heavy rains.”
“Lovely park, very tidy and great wildlife on the ponds”
“Brilliant little zoo! Highly recommend going to all the talks about the animals, highly knowledgeable keepers and entertaining talks too. The talks allowed us to get a good view of the animals that were otherwise snoozing out of sight as the keepers feed them as they do the talk encouraging the animals to come out. It was such a hot day when we went we probably wouldn't of had much of a chance to see the serval and bobcat if we didn't attend the talks/feeds for them. Amazing play areas for children! There's a large indoor one in the cafe and a couple of outdoor ones too. Café food was good and staff were lovely. We had so much fun there, highly recommend going if you're in the area!”
“A wonderful little hidden cider farm. It was a wonderful stroll around the small orchard and relax in the hammocks there. The little shop was very pleasant, and staff very friendly. It was nice to feed the pigs whilst on our visit. Will return when next this way”
“Brilliant soft play area with area as well for under 1 years. The pumpkin picking patch was picturesque and such a great spot for children of all ages to explore and enjoy. Food was great, with good selection. Their tuna jacket potatoe was spot on and the 'dead' velvet cake was devine!”
“One of the best farm days out we have had. Really good value for money. There's loads to see and do here like Tractor rides, quads in the barn etc. Highly recommend for all the family.”
“What a fabulous place for all ages, a wonderful selection of animals, pay extra and you can walk among them. A very chatty kookaburra, Ralphy the skunk was a huge hit with the grandson. The lemurs were lovely as with all the other animals. The restaurant is first class, a must visit even if you don't go to visit the animals. This place a gem, I'll definitely be returning. Get your tickets online as it's a little cheaper”
“A fantastic experience. Children loved it and so did I. Beautiful animals and such a lovely and knowledgeable teacher - thank you Shona! X”
“Great walk in any weather as long as you don't mind a bit of mud.plentynof place to park AND great links to other trails”
“I stayed the weekend here and it was so tranquil ! It was exactly what I needed. The scenery was beautiful and everyone was so attentive. I can’t recommend it enough. The farm had so many beautiful animals just felt like such a peaceful space”
“Best farm I've ever been to, a hidden gem. I volunteered here through a work charity day yesterday and was in awe of how friendly the staff were, how beautiful the farm is and how friendly the animals are. A lot of these animals are rescued and you can see how happy they are there and the amazing relationships they have with the whole team. The woodland walk is beautiful, there's a reason certain plants, fungus, dead bark etc is left in the woodland and a team member called Matt did an amazing job at explaining this to us, super educational do ask questions when there! Honestly this farm exceeded my expectations, massively under rated, the team are incredible. It's an absolute must on your family day out! A must on a work day out too!”
“Helpful, friendly Ranger, brilliant educational experience that's full of surprises. Great with schools and parties.”
“We love it. That was we live here.”
“I used to come to this farm regularly as a child and hadn’t been back for over 20 years since moving away. The farm has grown a lot with more animals and activities, but still has the same charm. The staff were all fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the animals. The enclosures are spacious and well thought out, and it was inspiring to hear about the rescue work of the charity. A special mention goes to Lucy, one of the keepers we met during our visit. Hearing about her hands-on rescue efforts, including personally helping to bring in the chinchillas was truly heartwarming. This farm is perfect for all ages (even those without children) and a must-visit for animal lovers!”
