This park has something for everyone! Great for cycling and rollerblading on the wide paths. There are outdoor fitness equipment stations, tennis courts, and even a small cafe. It's the heart of the communityβ€”always buzzing with life, yet you can always find a quiet corner. Love it here!

Lovely park within easy reach of public transport and fairly easy to park near. There are multiple well designed and segregated, but positioned adjacent, play areas allowing children to use age appropriate frames and rides whilst allowing clear sight lines for parents to monitor this free play. The splash pad, built into the old paddling pool, offers children excitement and refreshingly welcome cool down opportunities within a safely confined area. The sensory features and easy access make this a really well designed inclusive area of the park. Tennis courts, enclosed 5 a side pitch are available and the beach volleyball club at the residential end of the park makes really good use of the old bowls club whilst still maintaining community access and engagement. During the summer there are broadcasted competitions and in the office season teams train there and provide coaching to young beach volleyball wannabees. A recent addition of the customer made work out frame gives people the chance to perform many work outs (pull ups, dips, sit ups) to develop their strength and attached QR codes give access to coaching via an app/website. There is plenty of space across most of the park for picnics and leisurely strolling with the added benefit of the renovated toilets (as with other parks) creating a cafe near the main entrance for year round use and the snack bar 'Mammas Place' in the centre, which is reasonable prices compared to other venues in the cities parks. During holiday periods there are often additional paid for rides to cater for the staycationers with kids and seasonal entertainment on the bandstand. Lovely place with a beautiful flowery entrance area.

What a lovely facility. The park and water park kept the grandchildren entertained for 4 hrs - the gardens were well maintained and looked great in the sun shine ! Not good to have the money grabbing kids fair rides in there ! It really spoiled the look and feel of this wonderful/beautiful park !!

Victoria Park is a lovely and peaceful place to spend time, and we really enjoyed our visit here. It’s one of the nicest parks in Cardiff, perfect for relaxing, walking, or spending time with family and friends. The park is clean, well-maintained, and full of natural beauty. There are lots of open green spaces, colourful flowers, and tall trees that make the whole area feel calm and fresh. One of the best things about Victoria Park is how family-friendly it is. There’s a great playground for children, with safe and fun equipment. During warmer days, the splash pad area is a big hit with kids, and it’s free to use. You can see families having picnics, children playing, and people enjoying the sunshine. There are also plenty of benches and shady spots if you just want to sit and relax. The walking paths are smooth and easy, perfect for a quiet stroll or a jog. There’s also a small cafΓ© inside the park where you can grab a coffee, ice cream, or snacks. It’s a nice touch that makes the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, Victoria Park is a peaceful escape in the middle of the city. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back again soon!

Great little park to walk around. We love coming here to walk our dog. It’s never too crowded and has lovely flowers to look at whilst walking around. The ice cream kiosk here is amazing, too. The best ice cream I’ve ever had and has fast become my favourite part of coming to this park!

Family and dog friendly. Tennis courts, football court and 3 beach volleyball courts. Children's play area with equipment and a coffee hit at one end with ice cream bar in the middle (presume open in summer).

Victoria Park is just 1.8 miles from the centre of Cardiff (the Castle). It is easily accessible by bus, train or car. The bus stops near to the entrance and there is plenty of parking in the streets surrounding the park. However, during the summer months the park gets very busy, so you may need to park further away or consider taking public transport. The large park has lots of facilities including a playground for children of all ages. Within the playground there is a zip wire, various climbing frames, slides and round abouts. There is also a bandstand, tennis courts, basketball courts and a beach volleyball area. In the centre of the park there is a secure free splash pool with 2 attendants. The splash pool is very popular so visiting time is limited to 25 minutes per child. Within the park there are pretty flower beds, large trees, Ethan's Dragon sculpture and lots of green space for ball games. This is an ideal location for a picnic, and there is an ice-cream kiosk, the Bloc coffee shop and Mamas Place Cafe to buy reasonably priced chips, hot drinks and snacks. Outside of the park there is the Pettigrew Bakery and lots of restaurants including Red Chill, Nook, Maasis, Nishirath kitchen, Han Sing fish and chips, the Dough Thrower, Pasta Pronto and so on. We would recommend a visit because the park is very clean, is fantastic for everyone and is a cheap day out.

Well maintained and popular public park grounds in West Cardiff. Plentiful coffee shops and eateries nearby.

The childhood park of my dreams. Billy the Seal lived here, and the water play area still reigns. A lovely day out for fams, nans, and fans of all thing parklife. I like the tennis courts. The oldest Victorian promenade park in Britain, I believe. And a super duper park space all round.

Gorgeous well kept park, with a fab play area and splash zone for the kids. Lots of benches in the sun and shade. A cute coffee shop and a kiosk available. I didn't use the toilets but there were some. Really enjoyed wasting a couple of hours here.
