“BEST Zoo i’ve attended. It brought me back to childhood. I cannot express how thoroughly i enjoyed the vast amount of animals, the expansive nature of the zoo park is great for a full days worth of fun! We came during the October half term and did not feel overwhelmed with people because there is a great amount of space, easy parking, large spacious bathrooms that were cleaned throughout the day. I cannot say a bad word. The cafe serve tasty hot meals, quick to arrive and reasonably priced. The cafe was a squeeze however, we attended during the lunch time rush, there is outdoor seating if you can brave the cold. Hot drinks and cakes also available. I feel Hamerton zoo park is brilliant for all ages- my daughter fell in love with the amazing playground with a zip line, high climbing frame and interesting cube maze that was fun and challenging. We will certainly be back with more family in the Summer.”
“Wonderful zoo, with some amazing staff, interesting animals and enclosures. Lots of maintenance being done and improvements. Great stuff!”
“Very nice zoo, with a lot of animals. Nice restaurant and outdoor activities for kids.”
“Lovely soft play centre. Just right for my 5 year old little girl. Not so big you lose your children but enough activities to keep them occupied for a wet afternoon. Food and drink are really reasonably priced. Carrot cake was delicious, moist and very fresh, a large latte was just £2.50!”
“Great service made it very special and easy for my mum collecting her mini. Special thanks to the guy that looked after us, wish I remembered his name but I remember he owns a BMW 2 series and has dark hair- made the whole process smooth without forcing any upsell or overwhelming us with questions and information was very knowledgeable which left us to easy decision when it came to the optional warranty. When I come round to my upgrade even from working at a dealership I will be returning to Cazoo Northampton. Very pleased thanks again.”
“One of the best experiences from start to finish. Nikki and her boys are absolute gems and made this the perfect gift for my partner. He had a wonderful time too and we were both sad to have to leave! Nikki created the most relaxed atmosphere and made us feel very welcome. The afternoon tea was also brilliant and the whole setup Nikki has is genius. I would highly highly recommend this to anyone considering it and I’ve already referred family and friends. Thank you again Nikki!”
“My husband surprised me with a one on one experience with my favourite animal a sloth. She was absolutely beautiful and Barbara who was running the experience was so knowledgeable but more importantly she has such a passion and care for the animals making the experience even more enjoyable. Even at the first greeting upon arrival we met Harry who was friendly and warm. Organised, calm and friendly the whole time we were there. Loved it. Thankyou guys :-) Debs and Paul.”
“Brilliant Premier Falconry Experience. The setting is so beautiful and historic. The staff were amazing so informative and passionate about their birds. My husband flew a falcon, two owls and a wonderful vulture. Highly recommend.”
“We had a lovely trek & enjoyed getting to know the llamas.”
“We had a lovely time at West Lodge Farm Park meeting Santa. It was so special, very similar to Lap Land UK for a fraction of the price! The staff went above and beyond to make our children's day feel magical ✨️”
“Saw a painting that I liked but wasn’t sure until I got home. Rang the Woburn shop to order it and to my surprise it would be delivered the next day. The driver was so helpful and even took away all the packaging . He was so very pleasant and as were the staff in the shop. I will definitely be shopping there again as it was such a lovely experience.”
“Oooo it's amazing well looked after absolutely love it i will be back in day light to view it..”
“Great historic location with many interesting aspects of life during WWII. Nice friendly staff with lots of knowledge, well worth the small sum of £5 for entry. Called into the museum the day after attending the Shuttleworth evening flying display this weekend, If I lived nearer I would visit regularly. Credit to all those enthusiasts involved.”
“Unforgettable Yoga with Adorable Goats! Our visit to Animal Edge farm was simply amazing! The outdoor flow yoga class with the goats was a unique and heartwarming experience. Afterwards, we got to pet and feed the friendly farm animals and enjoyed delicious smores by the pit fire. The combination of yoga, nature, and adorable goats made it a unique and unforgettable experience. A big shoutout to Danielle and Julie for creating such a wonderful environment to reconnect with nature and animals. Highly recommended for a few hours of nature, yoga, and fun!”
“Wow this farm is a hidden gem. Went for the first time yesterday. The staff offer a warm welcome, the site is clean and tidy, and the animals are amazing. The staff offer lots of information about all the animals. The deer meadow was wonderful, the tractor ride was really sweet you go around a track on a field hunting for animals, the owl display was a highlight (Lottie was fabulous at teaching us all about barn owls as they fly around your heads!!), the barn furry friends feeding was fun, grooming the donkeys was a treat (the two young staff members were super kind & chatty too) and all the various play areas are genuinely fantastic (soft play, sand pit, straw bay obstacle course, jumping pillows, and a great outdoor park). But the most amazing part was that we accidentally dropped “foxy”, my daughters precious jelly cat Teddy from birth, it’s a comforter for her to help regulate her emotions (she is AuDHD) and the staff found him for us and kept him safe so we could come back and collect him. some parents will understand how grateful I am for that!!”
“Absolutely stunning and peaceful estate, perfect for a family day out. The grand tree-lined driveway creates a beautiful first impression, with free parking, clean facilities, and a welcoming tearoom offering drinks, cakes, and light meals on the terrace. The grounds surround Castle Ashby, a magnificent Elizabethan-style mansion built in the late 16th century, later enhanced with classical architectural features. Its historic presence adds depth and elegance to the entire visit. A short walk from the entrance takes you to the orangery, built in the 19th century in a refined Victorian Italianate style. Inside, you'll find a tranquil pond with fish, lush exotic plants, and classical sculptures that match the era's aesthetics. Nearby stands the medieval Church of St Mary Magdalene, connected by a lovely woodland path that leads to an 18th-century terracotta bridge. Just past the bridge, there is a covered observation hut with two large benches and an information panel to help you identify local fish and bird species in the water below. Continuing your walk, you’ll reach a charming small animal zoo—undoubtedly the highlight for many visitors. The meerkat enclosure is a joy to watch, and you’ll also see parrots, goats, pigs, ducks, and tiny monkeys. After leaving the zoo, the path leads through a lavender-filled alley and loops back toward the orangery. The full visit takes about two hours, and bringing a picnic blanket and snacks is highly recommended. The grounds close at 4 PM, and entry is £14 per adult, which is well worth it for the history, nature, and relaxing atmosphere. A truly memorable and enriching experience.”
“The park is easy to access off Barkers Lane across a bridge over the river and into the car parks area. One is straight on and there's another to the left after going through the Park gates. The cafe is located by the car park that is straight ahead. Toilets are behind the cafe. Wheelchair access is via a ramp. Dogs aren't allowed in the cafe but there is a large deck seating area out front where dogs are allowed. The country park has picturesque lakes, river walks woodland walks and large open grassy areas for picnics and playing with the dog. There is a large enclosed play area for the children. Fishing is available and the site does observe the close season, see the notice boards for details. There is also a sailing club for those who like to get out on the water. Birdwatchers won't miss out either because there is a lot of wildlife in the park with purpose built hides around the main lake. The main lake has a tarmac path all the way around and is good for wheelchairs etc, it's nice and level, wide too. To go all the way round is 1.3 miles and about 45 minutes. Enjoy”
“fantastic farm, very clean and the staff were all so kind and friendly. soft play barn is brilliant. lots of baby animals to see. outdoor park and picnic space. plenty of space to park. very reasonable costs all round. fab coffee!”
“Really interesting place to visit, once the headquarters of the Panacea Society and home of 'Octavia,' the daughter of God (according to the followers,!) The Society was a Southcottian sect that really established itself in the years following the Great War and when the last member died in the first decade of the 21st century the Society ended and a charitable trust took over the properties and opened them as a museum. It's a fascinating window into a movement that was very significant in the 1920's and 30's but has largely been forgotten now. The museum is a real time capsule and it's free to visit. Peaceful gardens, preserved interiors, an incredible story and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. If you're in Bedford it's a must!”
“Always a lovely visit here. Great for a few hours out. Great animal enclosures. Fabulous Red Panda viewing! Lovely lake area. Kids indoor play area, cafe with a small menu, entrance and exit is via the shop. Parking on site. Easy to get to by train too! Station is next door! Definitely recommend a visit.”
“Beautiful place to walk ur dogs. Very peaceful and a lovely little cafe in the middle..”
“You will feel like you are in the African savanna. I suggest you to take at least two tours. Some wild animals come out to the area for you to watch after 13:00 or 14:00. Also, consider the happiness that the naughty monkeys will give you by making adrenaline rage inside you. It is a wonderful feeling.”
“Just back from an epic day at the Herring Green farm. My family and I had booked my husband an eagle experience which I would highly recommend. The falconer Erin was fantastical she took time to show us so many of the eagle and some eagle owls. My husband held and flew the massive beautiful birds and really enjoyed his experience. We had young children with us and there was lots to play on and keep them amused. All staff were very welcoming and friendly We went on a Sunday and it was very quiet which was perfect for us to look around.”
“Did the encounter with Owls' Great little experience. My little one loved it. Would really like a go at falconry after that!”
