   We did the Falconry Premiere Experience with Icarus Falconry at Holdenby House. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Greeted by the friendly team with a cup of tea, we went and met all of the magnificent birds and then flew 4 of them in different locations within the grounds of the house. The team are knowledgeable and entertaining and the birds are just wonderful. We got to fly a hawk, a falcon an owl and a vulture, then at the end of our experience we had some time with their magnificent golden eagle perched on our arm. Wow! This experience is worth every penny and will be something I never forget.

   We had the best morning with everyone at the centre meeting all the beautiful birds. So many interesting facts & what a wonderful experience which was gifted as a surprise to a friend. It was truly lovely & a very special place with very special people all very passionate about the birds they care for, which was all set in the magnificent backdrop of Holdenby House - 1000% would recommend.

   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fantastic Experience at Icarus Falconry! I had the most incredible day today at Icarus Falconry, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the team – Emily, Osel and Ryan – were welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Their enthusiasm and expertise made the whole experience unforgettable. I had the privilege of flying some truly remarkable birds of prey: • Bhaji the Lugger Falcon – absolutely stunning! Watching her speed towards the lure and glide just a metre above the ground, right past my feet, was breathtaking. • Specs the Wood Owl – such a friendly character, floating down to the glove with elegance and charm. • Bentley the Turkey Vulture – a magnificent bird with a huge role in the ecosystem. Learning how vital vultures are in places like Africa and India, and how their decline is linked to rising disease rates, was both eye-opening and important. The staff explained it brilliantly – conservation for these birds must be a priority! • Horizon the Chilean Eagle Buzzard – the colours on this bird are unreal, and watching him vertically stoop from 50+ metres down to the glove was an absolute “wow” moment. • Bonnie & Clyde, the Yellow-Billed Kites – what a duo! Seeing them snatch food mid-air, just as they would in the wild, was exhilarating. And to top it all off, I got to feed Molly the Gyrsaker on the glove. Falcons are my favourite, and with her striking white colouring and calm nature, she completely stole my heart. Beyond the amazing encounters with the birds, the history and knowledge shared by the team was fascinating. Discovering that falconry has been practiced at Holdenby House since the 16th century was mind-blowing and added even more depth to the day. If you are thinking about booking an experience here – do it! Whether you’re passionate about wildlife, interested in conservation, or just want an unforgettable day out, Icarus Falconry is the very best place in the UK to meet and learn about birds of prey.

   Brilliant Premier Falconry Experience. The setting is so beautiful and historic. The staff were amazing so informative and passionate about their birds. My husband flew a falcon, two owls and a wonderful vulture. Highly recommend.

   If you are thinking of a falconry experience this is the one, look no where else. We have had the pleasure of visiting other falcnry centres and none are as fabulous as Icarus. The birds are clearly cherished, very east to tell in their calm and relaxed behaviour. It is obvious that Jo, Ocer and Emily are passionate about what they do. Their commitment to conservation (ask about the Vultures) is superb. We will, without question, be back again. Thank you for what you do Icarus Falconry.

   I was given a gift voucher to visit Icarus Falconry and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We pre booked and were in a small group of 4 which enabled us to have very close contact flying a variety of birds. The staff are excellent, very knowledgeable and have a great affinity with the birds they care for.

   What a great day at Icarus falconry centre , we had such a good time with Dave and his wonderful team. Great variety of some of the world's stunning birds of prey. Set on beautiful grounds and a very high standard of centre where the birds are so well cared for. We got to see some lovely displays and got a very informative tour and chat with the hard working staff. I highly recommend you come and pay a visit to this great centre and if your looking for something extra special book one of their many fun packed experience days , you won't regret it. Can't wait to visit again when the weather gets better.
