“This visit has been one of the highlights of our Scotland trip. Graeme provided a ton of information in an engaging and at times amusing way. It was a treat getting to hold and fly the birds. I will never look at the hawks and owls that live around me the same way.”

“I had an incredible time during the "Meet the Owls" experience! I got to meet several of the beautiful owls and each with their own unique personality. The woman leading our session was fantastic, knowledgeable and great at teaching us how to handle the owls properly. The whole experience made my day and left me smiling with a head full of facts.”

Garden centre, cafe’s, coffee shops, play-parks, toilet facilities, picnic benches, plenty of car parking.. even an observatory and much more. Miles of paths taking off in every direction over fields, through woodlands and across marshland. The Castle ruins are a must see whilst visiting too. “Great place for walking the dogs with ample parking at various access points around the estate. The only downside for me now is all the erosion around the RSPB nature resulting in the closure of the pathway.”

“This place is definitely worth visiting it's not just for kids the adults can join in to on the go carts, slides, hay barn, steeple race and much much more. All the staff are very polite and friendly they made time to explain things. All the animals look healthy and well cared for.we took our own food as there's picnic tables under cover, there is a cafe and gift shop aswell. We went 27th Aug which was really quiet think we saw about 4 families as Scottish children are back at school and the weather wasn't great, but there is plenty of things to do under cover, we didn't have to queue for anything. As the park was closing and we was dawdling along they announced" to the staff we are releasing the lions in 2 minutes" which just made our day and left there laughing.what a cracking day 4 adults and 4 children had.”

“This is a fantastic place to visit. It's a small animal park with a fly fishery, air rifle range, children's play area, large carpark (£2 to park) and cafe, sit in, or take away. The animals are all well fed, healthy looking with clean pens that allow plenty of space for the animals to move about and they have shelters for when the weather turns. We never saw any animal neglect, so we're not sure what the previous post is about. There are paths, astro turf and a road to walk along, so even in the rain, you won't need wellies. For £6 you get food to feed the animals. Each bag has a picture of the animal on it. There are drain pipes to pour the food down if you don't fancy getting animal slobbers on your hand. Lots of hand cleaners are available. There are three small ponds that are stocked with rainbows, browns, tigers and blues. Pay at the cafe, then drive through the animal park down to the fishery car park. The shooting is with air rifles at targets. These can be hired again pay at the cafe. There is a sit-in section of the cafe with seating and tables outside and also a huge poly tunnel if it's raining. We sat in as they had a very warm wood burning stove. We ordered two chicken burgers and chips with lattes. No complaints at all. The food was well cooked and tasted great, the lattes were hot. The owners have a band and have on-site gigs (small entry fee), which play a variety of music, see their Facebook page for details to when they play. This is held in the huge poly tunnel, so it is no hassle if it's raining. There is food availableto buy at these gigs and you are allowed to bring uour own drink. The owners and staff were so friendly and really enthusiastic about what they have created here, well worth a visit.”

“This aquarium is genuinely lovely, and a great break if you’ve got some classic Scottish weather on your day out. I am a wheelchair user and found the aquarium to be pretty accessible, although you can checkout my review on RollMobility for more info. Its got some rough terrain inside, the way some aquariums like to be cute and create textures like bridges and pebbles in the floor. That being said, none of it was very intense or dramatic and I was able to manage alright. They have spacious elevators throughout. You may encounter a wait for the disabled restroom given the number of families. Lots of stuff is easily viewable and *touchable * from a seated position so like I really genuinely recommend it.”

“I had a ton of fun at Lamont farm with my wife today. They have a plethora of animals living happily including goats, lamas, ducks, chicken, horses, and shetland ponies. The volunteers are incredibly friendly, was a great atmosphere. Lamont farm doesn't even have an entry cost, so I think it is a great project to donate to via the website if you can afford. Especially considering many of the animals have been rescued. Thanks for a great day. Ill be back for sure!”
