   This is a MUST if you’re visiting from anywhere outside of Scotland! Our experience with Graeme and getting to interact with these beautiful birds left such a big imprint on our time there. It’s something we’ll always remember. The quaint country manor that the falconry is located on is the perfect venue for this type of activity, with beautiful wooded areas and a large open space to see the birds fly. It’s only a short taxi ride from Glasgow, and should be on everyone’s list of things to do in the Glasgow area! Master Falconer Graeme is such a character, we were laughing throughout the visit, and it’s clear he has such a passion for his birds, as well as an encyclopedic knowledge on falconry. We booked the half-day experience and more than happy with that, but would love to have been able to experience more!

   This visit has been one of the highlights of our Scotland trip. Graeme provided a ton of information in an engaging and at times amusing way. It was a treat getting to hold and fly the birds. I will never look at the hawks and owls that live around me the same way.

   What an amazing experience! Graeme was so easy to coordinate with for our trip from the US and was amazingly knowledgeable and personable during our half day experience. For £160 for two people and two and a half hours we got to meet many birds and fly many of them too! He even drove us into to town to catch the X10 bus back to Glasgow. I reccomend this experience to anyone in the area, visiting on holiday or local, it’s not something to miss!

   We booked a half day experience during our trip to Scotland, and I have to say it was one of the main highlights of the entire trip. Graeme was great. He told us so much about the individual birds, and birds of prey as a collective, AND falconry in Scotland. While amazingly interactive you can tell he takes great care not to stress his birds out with the handling or activities. I would highly recommend to anyone remotely interested in birds of prey

   My partner and I booked an hour with Graeme and his lovely birds of prey and enjoyed every minute of it! Graeme is friendly and funny and has so many great stories and knowledge on all different types of birds, it was a pleasure to learn from him. We held / let fly falcons, eagles, owls and hawks, I absolutely loved it! The birds are so beautiful and majestic - we took pictures and, with Graeme’s direction, amazing slow motion videos ;) and made such great memories here!

   We had a fantastic afternoon spent at Strathblane Falconry. We got my dad vouchers for the half day falconry experience for his birthday, so my 6 year old son & I went along to watch while my dad took part. Graham was very informative and engaging with the group, involving us all including my son who loved learning all about the birds and interesting facts about them! We loved getting to meet and see lots of the birds, and enjoyed watching my dad and the rest of the group get to handle the birds on the glove and take part in flying demonstrations too. It was a really brilliant afternoon, Graham has so much knowledge and experience and that’s clear to see with how much information he was able to share and how well kept and healthy all of his birds are. Graham also came along to our wedding in 2018 to provide our wedding guests with a falconry experience during our reception and our guests still talk about how fantastic and interesting that was! Would definitely recommend the falconry experience package and the wedding package with Strathblane Falconry and we’ll definitely be back!

   AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Handler was knowledgeable and experienced, our lesson was hands on and even included handling multiple different birds. Price was very fair even with a last minute booking! My partner and I had a fantastic time and it made for a fun and educational experience. I can't wait to do this again! My partner and I love Animals and this has made the top event our whole vacation! Really wished I lived locally to do this more often.

   Spent the whole day here, and the weather was on our side. Graham was really knowledgeable and could tell he had a passion for falconry. The day was great and well thought out. Leant a lot about the birds. About lunch, which was delicious and filling, Graham then let us get up close with the birds and fly them. Would thoroughly recommend if you have an interest in birds of prey.

   Both my wife and I felt our time and experience at Strathblane Falconry on Sunday, 26/09/21 was greatly worthwhile. I had arranged this surprise experience for my wife to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary and when she came to know what we were going to be doing she was so delighted. We signed up for the taster session and managed to achieve plenty personal time with the birds. We gained a deeper knowledge of the birds living conditions and at any point of the experience was given the opportunity to ask questions all of which we got answers to. It is with confidence we can say falconry guide Graeme Neilson is a true and dedicated professional. He was friendly, calm and knowledgeable. Graeme gave us clear instructions of what to do and not to do before bringing out the birds. But most of all he was down to earth, passionate and this showed in his birds as they were outstanding in there performance which made our experience even more enjoyable. Graeme has left us with a lasting impression and we have full faith that he would do the same for anyone else who wishes to experience falconry.
