I had the absolute pleasure of staying on a narrowboat at Cadder Wharf for a month in February 2023, and it was an unforgettable experience. The wharf itself is lovely and peaceful, perfect for anyone who enjoys fishing, kayaking, or just being by the water. The community of people there is incredibly warm and welcoming—I adored almost everyone I met. But the real magic for me was the wildlife. It's so prolific, right on the edge of the city! My favorite part of every day was watching the foxes come out to hunt at dusk. I was also lucky enough to see a badger peeking in and out of its den after dark. It felt like a hidden sanctuary. I fell so in love with the wharf and the whole area that I'm already planning to bring my kids back to stay for a month every year or two. If you're looking for a unique and beautiful spot with a front-row seat to nature and the friendliest people, you have to visit Cadder Wharf. We can't wait for our next visit!

Great place to park for a walk, either along the canal or through the golf course to the River Kelvin. Paths are generally in good condition. Beautiful old church.

Nice little place that allows access to the canal I. Bishopbriggs. People park here and walk the canal with friends, family and fur babies. Nice place to park up and relax with a picnic or just to watch the world go by. I visited while cycling through. Nice and clean area and docking for canal barges.

Tranquil little pontoon we stopped by on on our wee return trip from Glasgow. Sunday afternoon it was and the local church was finishing service. Was good to see tradition and habits still exist :)
