Nice little zoo. Great for kids with both indoor and outdoor areas. Plenty of small animals and birds. Well maintained and clean. Worth a visit any time of year.
Well this is an absolute gem of a wee zoo,lots of parking and the zoo is well kept with lovely staff there are some animals inside but outside is where it's at the garden is lovely to sit and ponder if needs must and listen to the chirping of all the beautiful birds to see and some other cracking animals (I don't won't to spoil) it's a nice day out it can be quick to go round and see everything but then you have the beauty of the country park to see right afterwords.
Calderglen Country Park is the perfect day out near Glasgow. The zoo is small but full of charm, with South American animals like coatis, capuchin monkeys, iguanas, and tropical birds. Great for kids and adults alike! The surrounding park is huge, with beautiful woodland trails, riverside walks, waterfalls, and play areas. Ideal for families, walkers, and anyone looking to enjoy nature. Don’t miss this peaceful and affordable escape!
Fab place! Park is free. Forest walks. Great play area of children of all ages. Wheelchair ♿️ Friendly good for buggies. Large open space for dogs and picnics. Small zoo £2 for children £4 for adults. Cafe on site. Wonderful place. Restrooms on site.
We went as a family of 4, 2 adults & 13yr old and 6yr. Got there for doors opening to the zoo at 10am - tickets were a total of £12 all together! Kids enjoyed seeing the animals and areas are clean, staff are friendly. Cafe is reasonably priced - we however brought a picnic Kids played for ages in the park before we went on one of the trails. Would definitely go again and would recommend for a cheap family day out!
Great park for kids & dog walking. Several paths are closed due to landslides, so I hope the Council repair where possible. Children's zoo is great too. Toilet facilities, picnic area & cafe makes good coffee & cakes
This beautiful country park is filled with nature trails, plenty of space to run for kids or dogs, a mini zoo and a conservatory. Great for days out and to have a picnic on a nice, dry sunny day! The courtyard café was good too. The park itself is free, however charges apply when visiting the conservatory and the zoo. Adults - £1.85 Children - 95p Under 3's - Free
Came here with my two children and had a lovely day out. The zoo is reasonably priced - think we paid £4 or so for the three of us to enter. Lovely well kept gardens outside and well looked after animals. Staff member was feeding the skunk and took time to talk to us about her. We followed one of the walking paths too, giving us a beautiful scenic walk. After this we went to the play park and the girls had lots of fun. So much to do and a great day out. Only thing that bothered me was the price of 2 ice creams £5 for a Cornetto and a Calypso.
