“I cannot describe how amazing this company is. What I liked most was that they really take the welfare of the animals seriously. They know then the animals have had enough, they won't allow the touching or holding of animals they know will not like it, and they talk about where the animal is from and how to care for it, educating the people there. The children at my son's 4th birthday party all said it was the best party they'd ever been to. Joe was patient with the smaller ones and kept them all entertained. Definitely worth the money. What a wonderful company. Thank you again for the wonderful experience that my son is STILL talking about 3 days later.”

“I purchased a voucher for here for a friend's Christmas present. We visited last weekend and it was brilliant. We had almost 2 hours with the alpacas which included bonding, feeding and taking them for a walk. The lovely gentleman who led the group was extremely informative, answering any questions we had regarding the alpacas and their welfare and the history of their farm. Would highly recommend.”

“Brilliant place. We went along in time for one of the two daily tours, and as part of that we got to learn about the awful lives some of the donkeys have endured before being rescued - some of the stories are really upsetting, but that's the reality of these animals lives and just highlights how important places like Wonky Donkey are. During the tour, we got taken into the fields to meet the donkeys up close, which was such a lovely experience - they're so friendly and affectionate. There's a great little cafe on site, and plenty of parking. All the staff were wonderful and keen to tell us about their work - will definitely be back”

“Roundhay Park is absolutely brilliant – one of the best city parks I’ve ever visited. It’s massive, beautifully maintained, and has something for everyone. The lakes, woodlands, and wide open green spaces make it perfect for walks, picnics, or just relaxing outdoors. We spent a good few hours wandering around and still didn’t see it all. The walk around Waterloo Lake was especially lovely, with ducks and swans, and loads of scenic spots to stop and take in the view. The Tropical World nearby is also well worth a visit if you’ve got kids or just fancy something a bit different. Great facilities too – plenty of parking, clean toilets, and cafes dotted around for a coffee or snack. Whether you’re local or just visiting Leeds, Roundhay Park is a must-see. A proper breath of fresh air right on the city’s doorstep.”

“We came for the sleigh ride and wow, what an experience for our four year old son (and us!). The whole set up was so well organised. It looked fantastic and such lovely little details throughout (the passport stamps, the hydraulics on the sleigh etc). Santa was brilliant and the toy shop was amazing for the kids to choose what they wanted. The whole place was really well laid out, decorated and very tidy. The toilets were spotless and the food and drink prices were very reasonable. However what really made it was all the staff. From start to finish they were energetic, enthusiastic and really made for such a special day. Memories to last forever and everyone involved deserves so much credit. So glad we made the trip up.”

“This museum is fantastic. Downstairs they've built a Victorian street with shops you can wander around, with so many little details to see. There's a dress up shop, too! Upstairs, there are several galleries with old toys and even old game machines that you can play with old pennies, so bring some coins to exchange! Lots of fun, so much hands on stuff, several play areas for children, overall a brilliant museum well worth the small entry price.”

“Step through the door of the Brontë Parsonage Museum and you step back theough history. You don't have to be a fan of the Brontë Sisters to appreciate this excellent museum which is packed with furniture and items belonging to the Brontë family in a faithful recreation of their home. After a short wait in the pleasant surroundings of the garden we were ushered in and allowed to take in the surroundings at our own pace, taking in as little or as much as we chose through information boards, our own guidebook and a series of QR codes which add to the experience. After visiting the main rooms we spent some time in the exhibition that was full of interesting information and more artifacts before descending to the shop. The shop is full of great gifts and souvenirs and if you purchase books the staff will stamp them to show that they were purchased at the museum. Parking is conveniently located a few metres away from the museum at £1.50 an hour payable by cash, card or via the RingGo app but if that car park is full there is another pay and display car park nearby. The toilet facilities at the museum are impressive, very clean and well-maintained. There were a lot of staff on-site who were all very friendly and happy to talk and answer questions. As we visited in the middle of August the museum was busy and as space is at a premium it wasn't always the most comfortable of experiences but when we were returning to the car later on there wasn't even a queue so there are probably quieter times to visit! This museum is a must-see if you are in the area. In addition, the church that houses the Brontë crypt is the other side of the garden wall and the village itself is very picturesque.”

“From the warm greeting at the front gate and the sight of that big red bow on the entry arch, I knew I was in for a special treat at Harewood House for their Christmas display. I started with a walk around the grounds and loved the spectacular view of the house from the field near the bottom cafe. I enjoyed a walk around the lake and was enthralled by the walled garden and its sheer size, even if the gardens were mostly fallow. The Stupa is something to see and behold, as is the story behind the erection of it. Finally, it was time to enter the house and to see the Christmas decorations and room displays in all their unadulterated glory! No detail was left untold and the sights and sounds were truly wonderful. Sumptuous is one word that comes to mind when trying to describe the depth and beauty of each and every room. But just as wonderful as the displays was the warmth and enthusiasm of the volunteers who were there. They helped explain many of the details and were experts at taking photos for me! Be sure to step out on the lovely terrace garden beside the cafe in the house for beautiful views of the grounds. I had the most wonderful time at Harewood House and would strongly recommend visiting it not only at Christmas, but any time of the year.”

“A great place to spend a morning or afternoon. Free parking and lots of walks and trails to enjoy. Staff were really friendly and enthusiastic, and (shoutout to Elizabeth!) gave us a basic run down of the history of the house and the story of Bagshaw on arrival which was a lovely touch! Three rooms to explore downstairs and three rooms upstairs, my favourite being the Eygpt room! Entry is free, and gift shop is reasonably priced.”

“We had a wonderful visit to the farm with our children. The experience was perfect for little ones, offering easy walking paths that made it a breeze to explore. The highlight was definitely feeding the animals—our kid loved getting up close to the friendly goats, sheep, and chickens. The farm shop was well-stocked with fresh, local produce and unique gifts, while the children's play area was a hit, providing a safe and fun space for the kids to burn off some energy. Overall, it was a delightful day out that we highly recommend for families!”

“What a little gem! I didn't know this place existed until I was googling things to do. I took my 2 children aged 9 & 2 and they both had the most amazing day, as did I. The tropical house has so much to see and is far bigger than I ever expected. The only negative I have to mention is a lot of the glass in the tanks is quite dirty so it can be hard to see the fish but I imagine this isn't an easy job to clean. This aside, we loved everything about it and will definitely be back. The price is brilliant and even better if you have a max card, 1 adult goes free and under 3's are free too! We ate in the cafe and food was freshly prepared and tasty, price wise I don't think it was too bad for what you got. Lots of space to eat and you can enjoy your own food in the outside picnic area! We will definitely visit again.”

“We came to visit the farm for the first time yesterday, I’m always sceptic visiting farms for the first time as previously we have paid money to contribute to some horrible animal welfare places, I was pleasantly surprised here, I really like that it was a smaller farm and the up keep of the animals was very on point with staff always around them, they all looked happy and well kept which is refreshing to see, I just wanted to comment on one little issue, the rabbits, I’ve never been to a single farm yet where the rabbit welfare standards meet with rwaf guidelines, they all live alone quite sad and lonely, it would be amazing for a farm as lovely as yourselves to have them all neutered/spayed and bonded and live together in a large enclosure where they can dig and hide etc, set the standard for rabbit welfare which is lacking so much in the uk. But overall I think this is a beautiful farm and we would definitely visit again. We paid extra for the pig cuddles with pumba and really enjoyed it, the young lad who was in there with us was lovely and told us lots about all the animals, thank you for having us we will deffo be back again xx”

“Really lovely place to visit. We have been twice now and its a heartwarming place full of lots of cute animals. This time we finally got to see the donkeys and they were sweet and friendly ! It was £3 per person which is a very fair price and it's a quiet place with a great community and a real essence of family within caring for the animals. One of our favourite places is the birdwatching area which is small but so full of life. On top of the animals listed such as goats, donkeys, alpacas and sheep, there is more to see within the wild. This time won't certainly be our last, and we've loved it every time we've come here :)”

“We went with our 9 year old boy and we all loved it! There were roughly 20 people on the tour in total, with 3 volunteers/guides so plenty of options to ask questions about the different items. There's a huge mix of things, including taxidermy, artwork, historical items and even a cross section of a meteorite! It felt really special being 'behind the scenes' seeing items in racking and boxes, and the group being relatively small meant everyone got to see what was on display easily. Will definitely go back as items change as and when things are loaned out.”
