A fantastic experience tied in to the house ticket. We enjoyed our stroll around Wildlife World seeing the vast variety of animals. The park itself is well maintained with the animals having ample space to live and explore. Our favs included the penguins, capybaras and the tamarins.
We have been here twice now to do the penguin experience and the capybara experience. Both are extremely reasonably priced and so good, especially considering the cost. The keepers are knowledgable, friendly, and you can tell they really care for the animals welfare. The shop is well stocked, grounds are kept beautifully, and the cafe has great choice and staff always super friendly. Highly recommend.
Our family decided to go spur of the moment, and wow are we glad we did, we spent 4 hour walking about the ample grounds taking in the breathtaking scenery and walking around the zoo. There's plenty to do for the kids, and the prices in the cafe was quite reasonable, all this for just over £30 with parking included.
We had a really nice time the food was very good as well which was nice. The penguins were very cute. Probably can spend a few hours there.
I was really surprised to discover this place, it is 15 minutes drive from where I live and I didn't know anything about it. Lots of cool animals and birds to see, they looked really well cared for and had good enclosures. There is a deer park with a hide 10 minutes walk away. £10 adult entry online, includes entrance to park, house, grounds, parking, wildlife world and deer park, absolute bargain, highly recommend. Maybe they should advertise themselves more.
Lovely place for a walk with friends. You've seen a peacock before but a white one!! The only downside is you can get lost in the path within the wildlife garden. Could do with a recommended route sign or more sign posts to show where the exit is or the cafe etc.
Lots of spooky fun for Halloween. There is so much to do here. Explore the house, play in the park, look at the birds, explore the grounds.. There are toilets and a cafe. I would suggest taking a picnic as the cafe queue does get very long!
Lotherton Wildlife World is within the ground of Lotherton Hall, a hidden gem in Leeds. Great zoological collection with range of birds and mammals, including Humboldt penguins, Chilean Flamingo, Tapir, bats, and tamarins. The nocturnal area was one of my favourite parts. The animals are provided with naturalistic enclosures and demonstrate positive welfare signs. Would definitely recommend seeing for yourself!
I was pretty shocked to see how unkept it was, in all honestly. Don’t get me wrong, the play park, field and trail was nice, neat and tidy but the sanctuary itself didn’t look very pleasant, the animals didn’t look very happy, in fact it looked pretty run down. We took a few pictures but I’ve got to say, even the children were not very impressed.
