“Did the zoo keeper experience with my grandson and it was absolutely fabulous . Great value for money and the staff are amazing . Fabulous memories made . I would highly recommend this as the perfect present for the kids or grandkids , we both loved every minute of getting up close and feeding so many animals . Thankyou messingham zoo we had the best day ever!!!”
“This is such a wonderful place. Took our 2 year old granddaughter this morning. What a surprise! Petting the animals was so wonderful and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I purchased fresh eggs laid by their hens and donated too.... no pressure to do but really wanted to show my appreciation of all their hard work and dedication. Highly recommend.”
“Amazing little zoo - passionate staff, engaging talks, happy animals We had such a wonderful time at this little zoo! From the moment we arrived the experience felt so personal and special. Leah was amazing throughout our visit, she was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the animals. During the feeding sessions she not only shared fantastic facts but also gently challenged some negative preconceptions people may have about certain animals, helping us to view them in a new light. It was very quiet when we visited, and so the talks and feedings were almost like a private tour. Leah made time for so many questions and explained things in such an engaging way. I loved seeing how many of the animals were rescued and now being given proper care. It's a small zoo, but there's so much to see - we were happily exploring for about two hours. Many of the animals are free-roaming, and if you are patient and respectful they may choose to come very close to you - we got to see tortoises, macaws, stick insects, golden pheasants and iguanas so close up, it was brilliant. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed with lots of hiding spaces, and the signs are all genuinely interesting. Overall fantastic value for money and such a positive experience, I think it was the highlight of our holiday. Animals are clearly well cared for and the staff are outstanding.”
“What a wonderful time we had here yesterday for my grandaughters 7th birthday. All the children really enjoyed the experience, loved the alpacas. The barn was ideal for our party of 8 children. We took our own food and drink. Natalie was amazing and so lovely with the children. She provided hot water for the parents for a welcome hot drink after the walk.We thought the whole experience was excellent value for money too.If you are looking for something special and different then this is the place. Not suitable for people with mobility issues though to do the walk such as myself although the pygmy goats kept me entertained as I got the party food out.!! Sheep, goats,Shetland pony and a pig which the children fed too.Thank you.”
“Great for families, animals are - sheep, goats, horses, cows, pigs, birds, chickens, ducks, fish, quail, small animals too. They have 2 outdoor tunnel play areas, a hay barn to run around in, several outdoor play areas. A maze, trails to walk around. You can feed the animals and the fish. You could easily spend a whole day here.”
“Small farm/petting zoo, with a decent indoor and outdoor play area for kids, enjoyable afternoon, admissions are a bit on the high side but good for whats included compared to other parks/farms of this kind. £1 Hayride followed by feeding cows was amazing, rare to get close to cows on farms for obvious reason. All in all a good day and the kids loved it.”
“Check website to see what's open\on. Large free car park, woods, play area, walk to see the sea (careful as erosion at the edge) there's a land train too. Interesting walk round the hall, a zoo with rescued coatis, pigs, birds etc nice cafe too after walking round the gardens. Great day out!”
“Well worth a visit, feeding the goats, donkeys, ponies, sheep and pigs was the highlight. Definitely buy a few bags of feed as you enter, they were all very gentle. They have plenty of other animals worth checking out too as you walk around, a lot of them being fed so you can see them all out and about. Very enjoyable three hours slowly walking around to see all of the animals.”
“Amazingly managed spaces. The best part is - if you visit for once - the ticket usually remains valid for a year; i e. you can visit as many times as you want for a year with a single ticket for once. It is very well maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.”
“What a great asset to Hull-and it’s free! I hadn’t been to East Park for many years but I visited this week and it was lovely! First of all it is huge, with water features, endless paths to explore, a fab animal centre, a splash boat, children’s facilities and lots more… It’s great for people of all ages and particularly popular with dog walkers and runners. As it is traffic free there are also great routes for cyclists and very safe for supervised children learning to ride. If you love being outside in nature it’s definitely the place to be: so many squirrels, birds of all descriptions including swans and geese ( and the emu in the animal centre ) and so many trees high are glorious in their Autumn shades just now. There are plenty of maps around the site to help you to navigate and several entrances to the park. Toilets are in the Pavilion/East Park Library and also in the Education Centre. It’s very easy to access using the buses which run frequently from the city centre along Holderness Road.”
“Great place for a quick cuppa or a bite to eat at low prices. Service very good. Lovely welcome to the building nice crafts which you can purchase. Excellent wreath making session we throughly enjoyed it”
“It's a small farm with rescue animals, I went with my adult son and 4 grandchildren aged 5 to 10 we spent an hour there feeding the animals and holding and stroking guinea pigs rabbits and goats, we also fed goats sheep and reindeer, we all loved it.”
“An amazing experience in beautiful countryside surroundings. The Llamas and Alpacas all had their own cheeky personalities; it was great fun and Katie and Belinda gave us lots of interesting information along the way. Would highly recommend this.”
“Pickering Park is a wonderful place to visit with family and dogs. Its lush greenery makes it a perfect spot to relax. The park features walking paths, ponds, bird-watching areas, playgrounds, and open spaces. It’s great for children, too, with so many birds to see. If you enjoy fishing, you’ll find that opportunity here as well.”
“I actually remember the original Zoological on the corner of Beverley road, which went in the early 80s. This is a nice place, lovely outside seating area in the summer and although I have not tried the food, they are always displaying ambitious menus.”
“Great theme park & zoo Don't think I've ever come in the 6 week holidays. Arrived at 11 and left at 5pm. Managed 4 rides in 6hours. Ques horrendous during the holidays. Seems there's no cap on entry (which I always thought there was, but maybe wrong) Enjoyed the new upgrade of the zoo area, seal viewing area and what looks to be seating for shows at a later date? Looking forward to seeing the lions getting an upgrade as it does look run down. Wasps ...loads of them blooming things! Overall had a great day. Be prepared to spend £2.30 on a bottle of water and upto £4.60 for a slush. They have now got reusable cups available. 1 for £18, can't remember how much it was for 2 and £36 for 3, this will give you free refills throughout the park, great for a hot day!”
“Great shop, wonderful service. Contact with customers at the highest level. The animals are in great condition. Amazing cooperation with the courier. I heartily recommend”
“It's arguably one of the most equipped playgrounds for kids in HU7. Children got a lot of options to pick from. Some outdoor gym stuff there too apparently donated by Adidas -though might need a little lubrication due to the exposure to moistures.”
