Amazing little zoo - passionate staff, engaging talks, happy animals We had such a wonderful time at this little zoo! From the moment we arrived the experience felt so personal and special. Leah was amazing throughout our visit, she was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the animals. During the feeding sessions she not only shared fantastic facts but also gently challenged some negative preconceptions people may have about certain animals, helping us to view them in a new light. It was very quiet when we visited, and so the talks and feedings were almost like a private tour. Leah made time for so many questions and explained things in such an engaging way. I loved seeing how many of the animals were rescued and now being given proper care. It's a small zoo, but there's so much to see - we were happily exploring for about two hours. Many of the animals are free-roaming, and if you are patient and respectful they may choose to come very close to you - we got to see tortoises, macaws, stick insects, golden pheasants and iguanas so close up, it was brilliant. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed with lots of hiding spaces, and the signs are all genuinely interesting. Overall fantastic value for money and such a positive experience, I think it was the highlight of our holiday. Animals are clearly well cared for and the staff are outstanding.

Lovely little place, reptiles, bugs and birds, £13 for one adult and a child though for ten minutes, and my son walked straight in and back out again, although I guess the money covers the cost of staff, food, electricity, animals etc. You have to walk to the end of the shopping centre to find it.

Great little place to have a wander round and see a nice variety of tropical animals, with some lovely free roaming birds. It is small so don't plan a full day here, but it's definitely worth a visit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

3.7 star review. Bigtopia is definitely worth a visit if you have children and is value for money. It is very small but you can leave and return and they have a number of free roaming animals and insects like Parrots, terrapins, fish, lizards, birds and butterfly's. This is a Simulated tropical environment maintained at about 30 degrees so no need to wrap up. Staff are friendly and informative. It's situated in the grounds of a free port shopping centre that has free parking.

Wow! For the price of admission, despite it being a small place, it is an awesome little gem. The staff were wonderful and so informative. Allowed the kids to hold the corn snake and were generally very informative. Very very hot and humid inside so the ticket lasts for the full day so you can keep going back and forth from the shops to the bugs! Parrots and other animals just wandering around and the kids loved bumping into a random animal lurking around the corner. 5/5 definitely will go back.

Incredible day out with the family. Please note that tickets are for the whole day and allow you to come and go as you please. It's also worth noting that it simulates the tropics here so it's VERY warm and humid. So if it's cold out, easy to remove layers are a must. Take your time, there's a lot to see but the best way to see is to be very still. A lot of the wildlife has a bit of personality if they're allowed to show it. The talks are well worth attending too Really would recommend to anyone just looking for a day out
