Lovely place for a day out and lots of bars and resturants to vists. There's a small shopping area and lots of sculptures and history. Beautiful views over the Bay. Highly recommend The Dock bar, The Botanist & The Fabulous Welshcake. We stayed at the Premier Inn and parked at the main multistory as we had a discount from the hotel but there is plenty of parking. There is a local tescos, sainsburys and co-op. There is also walks you can do around the Bay

It has been many years since our last visit and we had a lovely day! Great place to visit for all ages. Lovely and clean, plenty going on. Family Funfair was quite busy by late afternoon. Lots of historic buildings and amazing statues with details of the history. Vast amount of restaurants. We had a nice pub meal at The Mount Stuart Pub. Plenty of inside and outside seating, staff very friendly and helpful. Further up past the Norwegian Church is a nice walk with different play areas for children. All in all a lovely day out!

Even with no events going on, Cardiff Bay is a fun spot to spend half the day. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, a ferris wheel, and unique spots like the Pierhead building and Norwegian Church. There are also lots of boating companies eager to give you a ride through the bay itself, usually asking for about 15ish pounds per person. We’re glad we spent some time here.

Cardiff's best views of the Bristol Channel and Penarth. The design of the bay area is fantastic in its entirety, from the barrage walk to the Welsh government assembly buildings, pubs, restaurants and the millennium theatre. The urban designers have blended a good mixture of materials, colours and textures surrounding the Plaza.
