Absolutely love this zoo. The animals are so well cared for and it shows by how happy they are in their habitats. The perfect size for a lovely day out and fantastic value for money - well done everyone who is part of looking after the zoo, the animals and your visitors.

Blackpool Zoo is a fantastic day out for families. The zoo is spacious, well laid out, and easy to get around, even with children. There’s a great variety of animals, all in well-kept enclosures, and plenty of information boards to make it educational too. We especially loved the playground areas and cafe, which made it easy to spend the whole day there. Staff were friendly, facilities were clean, and everything felt well organised. A brilliant place for a relaxed but exciting family day out, we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Went on a Tuesday for granddaughters 2nd birthday, lovely zoo with plenty of animals. Love you could get up close to most instead of having to view across a large field. All animals looked healthy and the baby elephant that has recently been born was lovely added bonus. Will definitely be returning next year

I was here in August 2025 and it was well worth a trip. I booked the tickets online in advance, also grabbing a meal deal voucher, which you can obtain from reception and use at the eatery. The zoo is quite big, so holds quite a lot of animals. You are offered a map (and a cloakroom to put your bags), so this is your guide to find any animal you prefer. I enjoyed seeing the elephants, lions, tigers, penguins, sea lions, farm animals, monkeys, birds. One of my favourites were the rainbow lorikeets, in which you can buy a small cap of nectar, and have the birds flying to your hands to drink from it. Be careful though - they can be quite aggressive and bite with the sharp beaks. But they are very pretty birds. Another lovely bird was the Inca tern, which I got to see its chicks as well. Marvellous. There are also talks about the animals, which can get crowded so make your you get there beforehand to grab a seat. So I got there at opening time (10am) and stayed for about 3 hours. The weather was nice so it was lovely to walk around and see everything. Personally, I think it's better than London Zoo.

We love coming to Blackpool zoo with our 5 year old twin boys. It is only half an hour away from us so it's a great afternoon out. The play area is also great too. The zoo is not too big so little ones will not get as tired as they would at the bigger zoos. Definitely recommend getting an annual pass too if you go even 3 times in the year it will cover the cost. There are plenty of picnic areas here and a cafe if you prefer. Staff are friendly which is always a nice bonus.

It's a really good zoo! This place actually has a lot more there than you think, we loved the elephants and monkeys. The zoo isn't massive so it's easy to get around, but my kids did mention they felt like the enclosure was small for some animals. We would absolutely go again.

Lovely zoo! Loads of animals and the elephant enclosure was great. Plenty for the kids to see and do. All enclosures are large for the animals and they have loads of room to roam around. Nice and clean with friendly staff. Also great that they have Starbucks and Subway inside to get food and drinks. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Well what a amazing zoo to visit, lots of animals to see. The zoo staff are extremely friendly and helpful. As well as the grounds are well looked after and are clean. Restaurants are well stocked and fairly priced. Plenty of picnic areas if you wish to bring you own food. But beware of the seagulls. Threw out the zoo it came across to me as wheelchair friendly as well as pram friendly. Plenty of toilets around that are cleaned to a high standard. I would highly recommended a day out at blackpool zoo as you won't be disappointed.

I have visited this zoo once with my family. It’s a decent zoo with ample amount of animals. What makes the Zoo stand out is the Dinosaur walk. If you or your kids like dinosaurs, you will definitely like it. Compared to it’s closest counterpart like Chester zoo, it’s nothing close in terms of varieties of wildlife they have. However it’s still a fun place for a family day out.
