    We had a lovely breakfast at the Ginger Monkey. The food was well priced, very well presented and was a lovely little cafe! There’s parking round the corner which was 20p for I think an hour. If we find ourselves back in Chester we’ll be back!

    Popped in here as just needed to get out the house. The staff were friendly without being fake and this made me feel really comfortable. Had a vanilla iced matcha and the honey nut crunch. Both looked good but tasted phenomenal. Will definitely be coming in more regularly in future.

    Paid a visit here on the 21st September 2025. It is one of two shops, the other being next door but one. That one also doubles as a coffee roaster. The shop also sells a limited range of ginger monkey coffee merchandise as well as coffee beans, hot drink and a choice of cakes. It also serves lunch and snacks but I went for a flat white and a flapjack with dark chocolate on it. Both were excellent. Cost of the beans is about right for a coffee roaster these days. If I were to find fault it is on a very busy road, I would imagine it gets a lot of passing trade as well as it's regular customers. I believe there is car parking available around the back. If I lived in Chester I would almost certainly be a regular customer here.

    Cosy coffee shop well geared up for kids to tag along with a play area. If you prefer a quieter spot, try the new sister shop 2 doors down with the gift shop. Great service and fabulous coffee.

    We're working nearby and today was a bitterly cold day, I confess we were like the clockweights on brass monkeys. We were fortunate enough to find this delightful little cafe. As construction workers we pride ourselves on being able to locate the best cafes in the area. We nailed it again. Bacon, sausage and egg on a toasted brioche bun and variants thereof for my colleagues, completely satisfied our ape tights. Lovely atmospere and friendly staff. Grub is reasonably priced too. Best latte I've had in a long time. Cheers gang!

    Customer service is okay.Bagel of strawberries was very delicious. Great to go with toddlers as there is a play area. It's small and doesn't have many toys, but it's enough for a short stay.
