   Customer service is poor in Earlestown store and has been for some years now. Today was a horrible experience waiting for a self-serve till that takes cash. I was forced to move further into the self-serve area to make room for someone with a trolley to go past me to get to a self-serve till that takes cards. As a result, a member of staff now considered that I was standing in the 'wrong' place (where I was not in the way of anything whatsoever), and literally instructed me to stand in the 'right' place (about 3 feet away). When I declined to move - again! - she was visibly angry with me. All this experience has achieved is that, contrary to what Tesco want me to do as a customer, I will now never use the self-service again, and will go to a staffed checkout (where I've never been treated like this) every time.

   Poor choice of products. Very little selection at all. The store used to be far better but in the last 10 years or so it's gone down hill drastically. My main gripe is that they shut the tobacco /customer services counter early. Between 7-8pm when the stores open till 10. Been in there for lottery tickets on a Friday/Saturday night (in time for the lottery) and not been able to get 1 due to the counter being unstaffed..... Really really poor service in my opinion. CAN DO BETTER!

   Nightmare to park at packed with cars on the weekend people use it as the town car park when there’s a proper car park round the corner. Cash machine is always out of money and the staff on the self services are always rude. Every time I’ve gone in they huff and have a rude tone when you ask for help.

   I used to shop here quite a lot until I was verbally abused by a member of staff, repeatedly, during a visit at the beginning of lockdown. I have never set foot in a Tesco since and never will. Absolutely appalling behaviour, and completely unprovoked. This staff member has no business being in a customer service role. I left in tears.

   A good handy local store. The staff are both friendly and ready to help if you have an issue or can't find a item. There aren't any clothes here though and the electronics / entertainment is limited so you need to go to a larger store further out (Haydock/Warrington/St. Helens) if this is what you're looking for.
