    Be careful when shopping here, their staff will often overcharge you. It happens all the time! For example, I bought a portion of mushrooms at a reduced price, I find that the bill isI paid one more original price of only one mushrooms. another time, I get a free bakery item, I find that on the bill I paid for it twice. I want to know what happened?

    Did my shopping yesterday and noticed at home that the guy on the till added strawberries to my shopping, which I didn’t buy. I didn’t ask for a receipt, so only realised when I checked the app later. Seems like you really have to check everything straight away, but doing that at the till is awkward when others are waiting. Really frustrating experience.

    If you enjoy wasting your time, Lidl is the place to be! Popped in to grab just three things and ended up standing in a queue for over 30 minutes. Only two tills open, staff moving at a snail’s pace, and zero urgency to help speed things up. It’s like they’re actively trying to test your patience. To make things even more frustrating, they keep opening and closing tills at random—just as you think the line might finally move, they shut one down and send people elsewhere. Total chaos. Why are we in 2025 and there are still no self-checkout tills? Every other supermarket has them—it’s about time Lidl caught up. Until they sort it out, I’ll be shopping elsewhere. Not worth the stress for a few groceries.

    Iv been shopping at Lidl for many years, from our life in Germany until the first launch in the UK, it’s been an amazing experience but since Covid and Lockdown I have seen the prices rising on many of the products, so that it is cheaper at the moment to buy such items as fresh bread, Broccoli, and other items from Morrisons, it’s quite sad. The other problem is the discounts that they offer that you have to activate don’t always work and then they run out before you get the chance to use then. They should work automatically if Life believed in our loyalties as a customer. Marc

    Stand in line for 10 minutes to be told that til is closing then everyone runs to the next one and they open another then close another....why not just reduce the number of customers queuing up first then close the til..Think I will avoid the place I don't like being messed around when I'm in a rush

    Lot of stuff missing off shelves staff not interested in customers prefer to be slagging another member of staff off in front of people waiting to be served… I actually told one not to use the F word in front of my daughter. No apology just a dirty look. Food I did get was good as always though but will use another Lidl in the future
