Was really good rain stayed away. The castle was great you could see for miles in all directions. There was no big queues to see the animals and the fun fair for the little ones was good.

Excellent selection of animals to see and lots of interactive habitats like the Lemur Woods. The train is a cool touch too! Prepare yourself for a lot of uphill climbing throughout the day if you're bringing toddlers! Unfortunately some exibit closures during our visit in preparation for Christmas, and the rides and pop-up restaurant stands were closed. There are vending machines dotted around but they're all coin-only so pretty useless.

I visited Dudley Zoo and Castle with my wife and two kids, and we had a great time. There’s plenty to see and do, and all the animals looked healthy and well cared for. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day, and the grounds were clean and well maintained. The castle grounds are particularly impressive, with lots of interesting information about the site’s history. It’s a long day out, but there’s enough variety to keep everyone entertained. A couple of small downsides – the signage could be clearer, as it was sometimes difficult to get your bearings even with the map. The food was also quite disappointing and expensive: a Β£6.50 burger was just a plain patty in a bun, with no salad, sauces or cheese, and the chips were cold. The main cafΓ© building itself looks quite tired and could do with a refresh, though I can understand that much of the money rightly goes towards the care of the animals. Overall, I’d definitely recommend visiting, but I’d suggest bringing your own food or picnic to make the most of the day. It’s a great family outing with a lovely mix of wildlife, history, and scenic views.

Good selection of animals, enjoyed photographing them all. The site is on quite a hill, and there are lots of hills and steps. Land train is useful for getting to the top. Some areas are rejuvenated and look great, other areas look tired. We had eaten before arriving, which I am glad we did, as food prices were very expensive. Β£5.50 for a sausage roll is too much.

Really enjoyed our time. Lots to see and do. Loved the range of animals and the castle was beautiful. Lots of food places. But there is so much walking! We got there at opening time and jumped straight on the train to the castle (cut out the hill walk). The train drivers were very helpful and friendly. We explored the castle grounds and the left hand side of the zoo, then ventured to the right. The right side of the zoo had a huge staircase so definitely recommend coming down, not up that side. The kids loved the 2 small playgrounds. The castle creatures were really cool, although very smelly. I've knocked a star off because the food was expensive (I do expect this but it seemed really hiked up) and there was no clear route around the zoo, so we weren't really efficient with our time. We went on Saturday in summer holidays and although it got busy as the day went on, there was so much to see it didnt feel crowded.

I was there 3rd time today. I really enjoyed. A lot of animals at Dudley Zoo. Some very exotic. I could do plenty of colourful photos and be very close some of animals. Nice view from the castle. Interesting flight show of two birds. The animals were awesome. I spent there a nice day and I had a lot of fun. I can recommend this place to families with children, for the animals lovers, the photographers and everyone else.

Very good layout and lots of viewing points to see the animals! All animals we saw looked healthy, however some enclosured could of been more spacious. Good eating places, and not crowded at all (went on a Monday however). Not expensive. Train ride was good to get to the top and worked our way down the Zoo.

Lovely day out today. Haven't been since I was a child and it was much improved since then. It still has all the charm and old school feel it used to have too. Great selection of animals to see. A lot of the animal enclosures have been revamped and modernised, which was great to see. Some animals have been moved in to bigger and better places and all seemed happy, active and in good health. A nice little fun fair for the kids near the entrance and the gift shop has been redone to a higher standard. The train and chair lift are both still operating to take you up to the castle and back, should you choose not to walk up. The castle itself is great to walk around. The ghost talk is very informative and there are birds of prey being exhibited in the courtyard. There was an owl today. Highly recommend a trip up the spiral staircase to the top of the castle for a fabulous view across the Black Country. Parking is much improved. Only Β£3.50 for the whole day (token operated gate system) and most of the site is wheelchair accessible, which is great. Toilets and food outlets were all clean and well stocked. Will definitely return again soon!

Me and my other half came to Dudley zoo on Sunday I would highly recommend arriving around 11am as we got parking easily and there was no wait to get into the park and when we left people were waiting out the door to get in! Overall we had a lovely day, facilities are good and a nice day out.
