   SCAMMERS! Cancelled booking from booking. com on day of the races so had to scramble to find somewhere. Uncontactable ever since. Booking .com said I need to get in contact with them for refund because they haven't replied to them either They said on voicemail that I would get a refund

   This place has gone down hill since the take over. The food is awful. Undercooked veg and Yorkshire puddings. Deep fried stuffing full of oil and grease. Cauliflower and cheese swimming in water. Hardly any food even though it had just opened. The young members of staff are rude and disrespectful. If they get the order wrong it's the end of the world for them to have to put it right and you almost end up wearing the drink they had to redo. When asking for a drink make sure you have at least 5 in mind as very little options. This used to be a fantastic place to go and eat. You always had to queue. What a shame it's now in the state it's in.

   As a child I only felt safe in my room as the downstairs area was rowdy. The beds were comfy but the room smelt of sewage and many of the lamps didn't work. The window's were smashed by some people at 5am. One of us found some people in the bathrooms doing coke who were at the bar for the majority of our stay.

   I would not recommend the accommodation. Room was space but could do with refurbishing, especially as shower door was broken. Appreciate accommodation is in a pub so will be noisy but around 1am you could hear others talking in rooms or in corridor and had a bad night sleep. Included in the price was breakfast but this could not be accommodated on the Sunday. Advised service finished at 9am but the room information stated 09:30. However, the cleaner was extremely helpful and called the manager to get more information. Can’t fault the customer service from the cleaner dealing with the breakfast situation. However the management leaves much to be described. Entrance to hotel also has food in the corridor for the pub and not very professional and a trip hazard.

   Went for Sunday lunch last weekend. Found it difficult to get served on arrival as the young barstaff seemed to serve regulars before anyone else. The Sunday lunch was very average at top prices. Sorry Wheatley hotel but its back to the Glasshouse for me.

   Booked a table for family carvery and was not disappointed. Lovely delicious hot food with different choices should uou not want the Sunday roast. My only gripe would be that there does not appear to be a children's desert menu. My grandson asked for ice cream and wow did he get it!!! Large sundae glass, ice cream, cream and 2 chocolate flakes....loved it....however????

   Went for dinner and a couple of drinks with a friend I've not seen for a while. Great service and very reasonably priced . We had chicken skewers in a garlic and herb marinade - absolutely mouth watering - so tender. They were served with a lovelyfresh side salad and a separate pot of coleslaw. We also had creamed garlic mushrooms, cheese topped garlic bread and sweet potato fries - all very good. Will definitely return and recommend.
