   Edit: just read that the same woman is singlehandedly responsible for multiple one star reviews. Worst Aldi experience I've had and I won't be back to that branch. Firstly, they have none of the new or trending festive items to try, it's a mess and had out of date sandwiches still on display. When I got to self checkout (because only one checkout open with a massive line) I asked for a bag which she insisted on scanning for me (I'm quite capable but fair enough if that's the rule) but it was obvious she didn't trust me just by looking at me as her first words were 'do you want something' which isn't your standard customer service greeting. So on my second to last item something wouldn't scan. She comes marching over sticking her hand in my bag and counting every item on the screen and in my bag. I did tell her the issue wasn't that I hadn't scanned something but that the barcode on the biscuits was crinkled. Apparently it's fine telling me I'm a thief and a liar, her exact words, because they've 'had problems with students' (flattering but I'm 44) and that it doesn't matter what I tell her she's going to check. Left the bag and walked out. Went to Maghull, they had everything on my list and more, it was tidy, clean, and helpful pleasant staff. So, thanks to one woman at about half 9 in the morning on Friday 28th December, they can stick their throwback dump of a store.

2. Victoria Secret ★☆☆☆☆

   I’m an autistic university student and wear a sunflower lanyard when I shop to signal that I may need a bit more patience. One staff member at this Aldi, a woman with black hair and glasses has made me feel genuinely scared and unwelcome. She is always sarcastic and passive aggressive especially when I misinterpret something she said, and I’ve seen other reviews describing similar behaviour from her over the years. Now, if I walk past and see she’s working, I either go home or shop somewhere else. That’s how uncomfortable she makes me feel. I shouldn’t have to avoid a store just to feel safe. It’s frustrating that someone with repeated complaints is still in a customer-facing role. I really hope Aldi takes this seriously and ensures all staff treat customers especially those with hidden disabilities with kindness and respect.

   New installed car park cameras. Are a nightmare, (I overstayed by 2-3 Minutes Twice..I was fined £200. In Total.) Wont be going to shops in 2 saints place car park anymore.

   The old lady on self checkout with the black hair and glasses (I believe her name is Sheila) has a horrible attitude I only came here to get something for my tea and was greeted with poor customer service and talked to like an idiot. When scanning my shopping I noticed a discount sticker on one of my items since Sheila was next to me helping my sister on another till, I politely called her over for help where she then proceeded to talk to me like a child even though I had my university lanyard around my neck. I understand that some people can be stressed or going through something and if this is the case I hope it gets better but this should not be taken out on strangers.

   Cheap own brands and some well known named brands...taking like for like not really any cheaper than other supermarkets. No self service tills and rarely more than one till open so be prepared for a loooonnngg wait. In my experience.

   Can't do a full weekly shop as they don't stock a lot of miscellaneous items such as branded cat food, concentrated fruit juice cartons, fresh vegan meals,the frozen food items hit and miss. A lot of party food and too many fresh and cheap frozen junk food. It would be better if more healthy and vegan or veggie frozen foods. Okay for fruit and veg but no cheaper than Asda.
