“A huge thank you. Visiting Screwfix today, my wife unfortunately trapped her leg getting out of the car and fell to the floor with a thud. Quicker than I could get out of the car and around to the passenger side, a young lady working at Screwfix shot out from the shop and was supporting my wife, asking all the right questions and giving true concern and compassion. A massive thankyou to this wonderful young lady (really sorry I didn't get your name). A fantastic ambassador for Screwfix. We'll be visiting with some treats and thanking you in person xx After visiting A&E other than a few bruised ribs fortunatley all is good.”

“Absolutley loved the food here and will be going again without a doubt. Good quality, hot food. The only downside was the tables are very close together and so you can hear every word of every other conversation going on. Found myself raising my voice just so I could have a conversation.”

“Went with an old school friend for a beer and catchup over a game of snooker. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I liked how only one of us needed the membership as can bring a guest. The staff could have not told us this as we both asked for membership and this saved us a bit of money. Will definitely be back! Thanks”

“Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one”

“Small shop conveniently located on Wigan Road. It sells a mix of everything, despite its small size, so you can generally find what you're looking for - or a close alternative. Staff are friendly, and there's normally plenty of them around the shop should you need any help. The store is generally clean, tidy and well stocked.”

“I was recommended to come here and try out the food by a friend, and I'm so glad that they did. The food is reasonably priced and so delicious that I even have loads left over for another meal. This is my new favourite carry-out for sure.”

“Visited a few times. Always very clean, spotless. Shop assistants are helpful. Wide range of clothing options, coffee shop and guest toilets on the first floor. Fully accessible for people with physical disabilities. Very busy within Aintree Shopping park. Food section is amazing. Everything is fresh, and well presented!”

“Been going here for years, and its never disappointed, by far the best chips in Ormskirk by a country mile, portion sizes are huge giving excellent value for money. Only tips are if you have a large order its best to call ahead as everything is cooked to order so there can be a wait otherwise. Only criticism is that they can take long long holiday and close the business while there away.”

“This place has been a godsend whilst covid has been around. The staff are great and they have a great range of products. There have been issues with empty shelves due to delivery shortages but that seems to be well managed now. Overall I'd highly recommend this store.”

“Kids loved hunting for their own pumpkins (£5 each) with a wheelbarrow and the additional provision of a hallowe'en themed train ride (£3,50) on site provided by the Sefton landscape chaps (who were friendly and cheerful) made it a super memorable visit with loads of good photo opportunities.”
