“A huge thank you. Visiting Screwfix today, my wife unfortunately trapped her leg getting out of the car and fell to the floor with a thud. Quicker than I could get out of the car and around to the passenger side, a young lady working at Screwfix shot out from the shop and was supporting my wife, asking all the right questions and giving true concern and compassion. A massive thankyou to this wonderful young lady (really sorry I didn't get your name). A fantastic ambassador for Screwfix. We'll be visiting with some treats and thanking you in person xx After visiting A&E other than a few bruised ribs fortunatley all is good.”

“I visit B&M's a couple of times a week and it's usually fine but today they had 2 tills on at dinner time so queues were big and assistants appeared to be on a go-slow. Hope this will improve as it gets closer to Christmas, otherwise I'll be giving it a miss.”

“Great shop which sells a wide variety of things at a very reasonable price. It is well layed out, easy to find what you're looking for, but if you can't find an item, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's usually enough checkouts open that you don't have to spend too long waiting either. Very easy to access by foot, public transport or car (with ample parking)”

“Had a great experience at Ormskirk which was a breath of fresh air compared to other Howdens in the area. Jack was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, a credit to the organisation. The kitchen showroom is very small and if thats what u are looking for I suggest visiting Southport to see what's on offer but I would definitely go back to Ormskirk to sort out the details. We also visited Aintree expecting that to have a bigger showroom but it didn't. Parking is available and free. On the ground floor so wheelchairs are no worry.”

“My old rocking chair had seen better days and was almost destined to be thrown out as I didn't know how it could be fixed. Contacted Alex and decided to see what he could do with it. The chair is now so comfortable, even better than it was when new and the wood looks beautiful. Alex didn't get rid of the worn part on the arms that I wanted to keep for the memories but even there it looks beautiful. He matched the pattern on the upholstery so well and everything was carefully finished with great attention to detail. Alex's communications were always prompt and dealing with something I hadn't done before was made very easy by Alex. Happy to recommend.”

“My absolute favourite café in town! They have so many syrup flavours for coffee and matcha, and the drinks on the menu always taste amazing. The cakes are incredible too, there’s always something new and different that you won’t find anywhere else. Can’t recommend this place enough!”

“On our arrival we were greeted with a warm welcoming smile. We were asked if we needed assistance or did we want to look around by ourselves. We were shown bed that helps you choose the right bed for you, which we enjoyed using. After using it we decided to look around by ourselves. Lindsey said if we require any help just let her know and then left us alone so we could look around by ourselves. The staff are always in sight but did not follow us around. Eventually we needed help and found Lyndsey. She spent time with us explaining everything and answered all our questions. She was professional, charming and was determined to make sure our wants and concerns were met. We left feeling happy about our time in Dreams and felt we got a top notch sales assistant in Lindsey.”

“Visited shop a couple of times looking for leather sofa and chair. No pressure whilst browsing like the big chains so that was good. Finally sold old couch so contacted Harpers and picked a couch and chair and was told we could probably have it delivered for free within a week. Actually received it within 24 hours of ordering items. You really can't beat that for service. Got a call from shop to say they would be delivering within 30 minutes so I could nip home and let them in. Two polite and respectful lads turned up and took great care whilst delivering as I had mentioned we had a new front door and they were very considerate of this. All packaging was taken away and the whole process from choosing items through to payment and delivery was spot on. would definitely recommend buying from Harpers especially how delivery was free and larger sofa companies will charge you around £100 for this. Thanks Harpers for great service.”

“If you want quality furniture at a competitive price and excellent customer service then visit this family business - G T Goodyears Furniture Centre at Mawdesley. We ordered our sofa and chair in February – when the furniture arrived in store we were unable to take delivery – not a problem just let us know when it’s convenient we were told. We were unable to take delivery until just recently! (November) – storage by G T Goodyear was never an issue – we were never pushed to provide them with a delivery date and neither were we asked to pay the outstanding balance. When we eventually took delivery the corner section of the sofa would not fit through our lounge door due to our small hallway! - several attempts at different angles were made but to no avail – don’t worry we will resolve the issue for you they said, we'll work something out - and they did. After a few hours work back at the store disassembling the corner section it was delivered successfully into our lounge and all rebuilt again. No extra charge – we just want satisfied customers we were told – well we are certainly that! Five star service – well done G T Goodyear Furniture”

“Yesterday we called into Furniture village Aintree, this visit was purely unplanned and literally just to have a look, Lauren Hayes a sales girl approached us with a lovely smile and no horrid sales patter at all, no when are you looking to buy, no what is your budget just simply world class customer service, Lauren answered all of are questions and today we called into Furniture village to buy a suite and furniture, we was not planning on buying at the moment but Lauren made it so easy and pleasurable to spend so much money, hopefully she gets to read this review and knows how grateful we are for her assistance the last two days. “My washing machine, which I bought from Irelands broke down at the height of the crisis. It was over 5 years old and out of warranty but well maintained. When I mentioned that as a key worker I had to wash my uniform daily Andy at Ireland's couldn't do enough for me. The machine was fixed and returned within a few days. I've always used Irelands and recommend them to all my friends and family. Would highly recommend them - an excellent family business in the heart of Ormskirk.”

“We have just had our kitchen completely re fitted by Kitchen Love and we are delighted! They took care of the whole process and appointed a project manager,Paul, who orchestrated everything! They stripped everything back to bricks and mortar and even removed the ceiling and existing floor! All the tradesmen were top quality which left us with a feeling of total confidence throughout! Beautifully laid lime stone floor, complete re wire, bi fold doors, boarded out, plastered, kitchen fitted, stone work tops, painted!!!! Excellent! Can’t recommend them enough!”

The team are incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They even went as far as to help me with hanging rails during the purchase of the wardrobes, and a temporary sofa during the purchase of the my new ones - first class customer service! Felt really relaxed, at home under no pressure and bought what we wanted at reasonable prices. It’s a great store with fantastic items.
