I was unsure at first about painting our furniture as we’d never had it done before, and we didn’t know how it would turn out. But I’ve got to say we’re delighted with the result. So much so, Alex is about to do a second lot for us which gives you an idea of how well the job turned out.
Alex responded immediately to my email request for restoration of an antique bench from an old river ferry. The restoration process was explained in detail to me every step of the way. The restoration and attention to detail was outstanding. The results were unreal and the bench looks like new. They even researched the history and provenence. I would recommend fast forward furniture to anyone who needs any woodwork or restoration services. Brilliant service with brilliant results. What had been scruffy-looking aluminium tables and chairs (three tables, seven chairs) have been beautifully restored and the result has far exceeded our expectations. My old rocking chair had seen better days and was almost destined to be thrown out as I didn't know how it could be fixed. Contacted Alex and decided to see what he could do with it. The chair is now so comfortable, even better than it was when new and the wood looks beautiful. Alex didn't get rid of the worn part on the arms that I wanted to keep for the memories but even there it looks beautiful. He matched the pattern on the upholstery so well and everything was carefully finished with great attention to detail. Alex's communications were always prompt and dealing with something I hadn't done before was made very easy by Alex. Happy to recommend.

Alex took our old dining room table and chairs away for restoration.The table could not be brought back to the standard of workmanship that Alex wanted. Alex even went and obtained another table on our behalf that would fit our requirements. He stripped and varnished it to suit our needs. He upholstered the chairs with a modern fabric and what an amazing result ! Alex kept us informed every step of the way with phone calls and pics. His customer service is second to none. Alex has done a brilliant job of restoring our original pine floorboards, which we didn’t actually think was possible due to some of the damage. He was very tidy, friendly and polite, despite my very last moment crisis regarding what colour stain to use! The floor is now beautiful and fresh and a real bargain compared to what we would have paid for a new one! Thank you Alex.
I can highly recommend Fast Forward Furniture. Alex has revamped an old chest of drawers for us. Painted and varnished it looks as good as new. Alex is great on advice re colours etc, all in all great customer service. This is our third contact with Alex as previously he has sanded and re varnished our kitchen table and also sprayed our bannister. Again giving advice on colours, which I was delighted with.
Alex has done an AMAZING job with my wood block kitchen floor. It hadn't had anything done to it for the past 18 years and was in desperate need of TLC and upgrading. I am beyond delighted with Alex's restoration - it has enhanced my 'new kitchen'. I can't believe I actually thought of tiling over the floor before Alex worked his magic.
