   Premier Inn has really impressed of late with its New Evolution design & Premium Plus rooms, it has stepped its game up no doubt. I then stumble across Southport Ormskirk Premier Inn. Wow, an extremely basic, outdated room in desperate need of a refurb. Plonked right next to a loud generator of some sort. There also appeared to be some sort of mental case in the room above, banging and tapping away all night (but thats another story). Location is awkward, A roads only for about 25 mins to get to the site. The old woman on reception seemed disinterested. All in all, an uncomfortable stay and I would not recommend this hotel, by any stretch of the imagination. A real stain on the Premier Inn brand.

   Lovely modern clean rooms. Had a nice quiet nights sleep. Staff in the hotel polite. Breakfast staff whilst pleasant seemed a little bit overworked and not as friendly as the reception staff. Food was cooked to order and was of good quality.

   Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one

   We stayed here for three nights as somewhere to sleep when on a visit to see our daughter. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of the staff. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay. We will be back for sure!

   Friendly staff, excellent customer service and very clean. You definitely need to take advantage of the free WiFi, as signal is non-existent. Stood in reception to get a good enough signal and the receptionist was helpful and friendly. Unable to book for a group of 10 at the Beefeater, the receptionist recommended, what turned out to excellent, alternative.

   Hotel was perfect and clean the best staff there is amy she was so helpful and very friendly great service the only reason I give a 4 star is we wanted a drink to take to room and women said card only as just took till off but Amy sorted it for me to pay cash other than that it was great night stay

   Really friendly, lovely welcome as we arrived. Beefeater onsite that does full breakfasts (English and Continental). Room was clean. Comfy bed, nice warm shower, kettle, TV. Free parking. Nice quiet location. We visited Ormskirk and Southport, and this was ideally placed between the two.

   Rooms clean and to tidier than most PIs. Still same tar marks on some items of furniture. Service, pleasant service offered at signing in, but due to build layout, no further engagement. Location. Apparently rural, but large police presence in local area, driving at speed, lights and sirens, shattering rural image.
