“Great place to stay if you are planning a visit to local tourist attractions - e.g., Rufford Hall - or fancy a weekend break in beautiful countryside. The hotel is a relatively new build whose exterior has been carefully designed to be in keeping with the local properties, but with a modern look and feel inside. I am not sure if there is a lift to reach the first floor where the rooms are located. We had to use stairs, and what this meant for people with limited mobility or accessibility needs did occur to me. The bedrooms are a good size, with a comfortable bed. The only downside we had with the room was the temperature. With the increasingly warm weather we have been having, and we stayed on a hot day, the absence of air con was noticeable. This is clearly a popular venue for locals as well as hotel guests which is always a good sign. The staff were wonderful, feels like it may be family run? Breakfast was amazing! Have the full English because the sausages and bacon (I suspect) were locally sourced and delicious! Thank you!”

“Just want to say how amazing this doggy daycare is our black lab Hugo has been coming every single week for 2 and a half years and he absolutely loves it never seen my dog so excited when it’s time to go somewhere! Lee and Marianne the owners Always keep us update with pictures of hugo and his friends and what he gets up to which is lovely to see any questions or worries they are always so quick to assist you. Not forgetting the amazing staff that work there they are all so friendly and welcoming Hugo loves them all and is always please to see them on arrival! The safety measures they have in place you puts you at ease to leave your dog in a safe and happy environment and all the dogs my lab plays with are lovely too! My lab has changed since coming here in the best way and I’d recommend them all day long!!!”

“If you have not decided on your accommodation choice yet for next year, seriously, look no further. McComb Student Accommodation is by far the best , and I would give them 10* as they look after their occupants 24/7. My daughter had a maintenance issue on a Friday evening, alternative support was given , and Richie the maintenance staff resolved it the following morning, what impeccable support. In addition to this the entire team are so professional and give 100% to their roles, peace of mind when parents live a distance away. Staying with them for my daughters 3rd year, no hesitation.”

“Briars Hall Hotel hosted a very large celebration of life service for me a few weeks ago which was attended by hundreds of people. The whole experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. So I want to say a massive thank you to all the management and staff at Briars who really took a lot of the stress away from me on an emotional day. The function rooms were beautifully presented, the food was excellent, the service was excellent. The planning and attention to detail to cater for the volume of people who attended was so professionally done. Throughout the whole process communication with Mark, Steve and other staff was superb. I've lost count of the amount of people who gave me amazing feedback on how good the celebration of life party was, though much of the credit should deservedly go to the management and staff at Briars Hall. It was a warm day and guests also made good use of the stunning outside areas of the hotel. I also had family from abroad staying overnight in the hotel who said their stay was excellent. Thanks again guys, I really can't thank you enough.”

“Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one”

“Simply excellent in all aspects of our dining experience. We stayed for two nights, eating in the 3 star restaurant on the first night and the 1 star restaurant on our second night. Both were exceptional. They are very clever chefs who ensure the dining experience is perfect. I would absolutely recommend Moor Hall to everyone, it's special.”

“I have moved in to Rebell Property end of September 2024 and have really enjoy living there because you have everything close to you and 5 minutes walk to the city center and Morrisons just down the road. The property is lovely and quiet also very big space in the diner room. I really recommand to new student for the next academy year 2025/26 who are looking a peaceful accommodation to come viewing this property with lot advantage like 10 minutes walk from Edge Hill University don't need to use public transport. Further there is always a maintenance person coming to check if there is an issue in the house or fixe the problem, great property to live. Twofo Bakaya”

The room was very comfy, a very large king size bed and a very modern bathroom. We got our breakfast included which was lovely! We would stay here again and thank you to the staff here for making our stay very comfortable”

“Excellent food. Wonderful staff, especially the female Sommelier. Two stand out dishes - Duck liver parfait was brilliant as was the chocolate tart. There’s a nice outdoor area to have a drink before your meal, so I recommend going early if it’s a nice day. There’s a small car park and an onsite hotel.”

“We stayed in Maltkiln Cottage, it was a really lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very warm and cosy with everything you needed to relax and enjoy your stay. You could sit and watch the chickens wandering by the Patio Doors and see the horses in the paddock, it was in a lovely spot. Claire and Cliff were very kind and welcoming. There is plenty to see in the area and some lovely places to eat out, we would highly recommend a holiday here.”

“1st time our dog visited she had never been in.kennals before and staff were great with her. When we went everywheres so clean and spacious and inside kennals they were very well maintained all areas spotless and every pet had great warm bedding every pet looked happy. Definitely will be returning for our pet and would highly recommend for others.”

“Stopped off for a meal after days bird watching at Martin Mere. Glad we'd booked a table as place was really busy. Nice welcome when we arrived and service was efficient without being obtrusive. Generous portions and the homemade steak pie was delicious. Very reasonable prices too. Will be back.”

“Had a great visit with friends for a round of golf. Friendly welcome on arrival. Sausage sandwich and a coffee before our game, very nice. Work was being done on the greens but were true and quick. The course was in good condition. There are a few long tight holes on the back 9, I would play differently next time. Plenty of water on the course also. After the round we had a pizza, this was very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. A great place.”

“I recently just put two of my cats in at Woodbine. I can honestly say they were amazing. I got update pictures while I was away on holiday and the staff treated my two cats so well. One of my cats is very skittish and on one of the updates she was letting staff stroke her and even enjoying a licky mat! They took such good care and at drop off the reception staff were very smiley and polite. Amazing place and I will be booking again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Been using here for about 3 years now about 2/3 times a year for my French bulldog and cat, they are looked after really well and come home happy and content, the staff and very friendly and care very much for the welfare of the animals, prices are very reasonable, would definitely recommend.”

“We have been taking our border collie to Kirsty every week (for daycare) since October 2023, and our dog absolutely loves it! Kirsty is professional, experienced and passionate about working with dogs. Shes taken the time to build a good relationship with our dog and learn all his personality and little quirks. She is so attentive and caring, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for doggy daycare/boarding. It’s great peace of mind knowing that your dog is in a happy, safe place while you’re away!”

“Eleanor was absolutely fantastic when our hamster Autumn stayed for nearly 4 weeks. I was worried I wouldn't find somebody who would spend time with Autumn as a lot of places just feed hamsters and don't bother with them but Eleanor and her daughter were fantastic. I received pictures and updates throughout her stay and felt so at ease I didn't worry once as I knew she was in the right place. If you want your pet to be spoilt and treated like one of their own this is definitely the place to take them!”

“This will be the third time that I have left my cat, Bailey at Acorn. I thoroughly recommend them. They are very accommodating as I can't always book in advance. The pens are exceptionally clean and have heated shelves. The food is high standard even sardines if you cat likes them. And Jordan is amazing! She loves and fusses over every cat. Bailey always comes back looking better than when he went in! Lol. Thank you so much Acorn xx”

“Cottage fantastic , the sight is good .the only thing is the games room isn't very good a bit dated , machine's not working table tennis table not put together properly , a bit if a let down really , grand kids disappointed. But the park itself is brilliant .”
