⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A heartfelt thank you to the Rufford Arms This was our first stay at the Rufford Arms, and after reading a mixture of reviews we were a bit concerned the hotel might not live up to the standard of the food. We needn’t have worried. The room (number 13) was spotless, comfortable, and even had a proper bath, a rare and very welcome touch these days. We enjoyed the set three-course Christmas menu, beautifully cooked and full of flavour, all paired with an excellent bottle of Chablis and followed by a bottle of Laurent Perrier. A lovely way to settle into the evening. A huge thank you to the whole team, and especially David for the warm hospitality, great food, and a genuinely comfortable stay. We left feeling well looked after and already looking forward to returning. Until next time. Merry Christmas x

We had a lovely meal here for my dad's birthday. We enjoyed the 2-course festive menu and couldn't fault anything about our experience. The food was delicious, well presented, and generous, and the staff were all superb - welcoming, professional, and attentive. We would definitely recommend a meal here. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Absolutely amazing place, I stayed for work and loved it, will definitely be back when next working in that area. The room was really big, with a big comfy bed amd a nice bathroom. The decor in the room I loved. On to the food and WOW the best meals I have had in a long time, I stayed 3 nights and every night was outstanding, wish I lived closer to just go for a meal. The staff were great amd very helpful and it was all relaxed and easy going. Great place!!

Booked a table for a family meal - 8 of us - for a 60th birthday. Storm Claudia made travelling a bit risky so we had to postpone. Staff were very understanding and fit us in at the same time the following evening. Luckily it was an early slot because it got quite busy later on. Food delicious, gluten-free member of our party was very happy with the menu. Staff very attentive. Thank you.

Great place to stay if you are planning a visit to local tourist attractions - e.g., Rufford Hall - or fancy a weekend break in beautiful countryside. The hotel is a relatively new build whose exterior has been carefully designed to be in keeping with the local properties, but with a modern look and feel inside. I am not sure if there is a lift to reach the first floor where the rooms are located. We had to use stairs, and what this meant for people with limited mobility or accessibility needs did occur to me. The bedrooms are a good size, with a comfortable bed. The only downside we had with the room was the temperature. With the increasingly warm weather we have been having, and we stayed on a hot day, the absence of air con was noticeable. This is clearly a popular venue for locals as well as hotel guests which is always a good sign. The staff were wonderful, feels like it may be family run? Breakfast was amazing! Have the full English because the sausages and bacon (I suspect) were locally sourced and delicious! Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Booked the meal and overnight stay deal. All staff very friendly and attentive no waiting for anything. It was a birthday celebration and we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco in our room such a lovely touch. Food was exemplary with an extensive menu. We certainly be returning.

My family and I have just had a lovely evening at The Rufford Arms to celebrate my sister in laws 60th birthday. There was lots of variety on the menu, our dairy intolerant nephew was well catered for and my picky hard to please 90year old mum ate everything without complaint, that's a miracle in itself. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The service was excellent with very attentive staff no long gaps between courses, drinks topped up often. Will definitely go here for our next big celebration, it was a big open space and our party of 14 never felt cramped or hemmed in. We've all left feeling full and very happy. Would recommend 100%

Visit to the restaurant where we enjoyed the Christmas Lunch menu, all three courses! Naughty but nice. Couldn't fault anything at all. Quality, portions, service, etc. A very well earned tip.

Quality food and quality staff and service. Dog friendly. (After sitting down our dog Lola was given a bowl of water and a saucer full of treats! ) Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would 100% come again without hesitation. Portion size was excellent. The car parking spaces are narrow but not helped by the poor parking of some of the clientele!

We only went to the bar after a nice walk down by the canal. Staff were lovely and very friendly. We ordered a round of drinks and they even brought out a bowl of water for the dog without being asked. We're definitely planning on going back to sample the food, which looked absolutely gorgeous.
