“I go here very Thursday morning to see Berry and Adam”
“Totally professional service all the way through”
“Really enjoyed our veggie breakfasts and smoothies this morning. The Green Goddess smoothie was vibrant and refreshing, and the Holy Cocoa was indulgent and delicious. Quick friendly service and pleasant atmosphere with a good playlist!”
“Stopped for a quick break, coffee and a teacake! Only one member of staff on but took it in her stride and very pleasant as was getting busy.”
“It was a lovely visit- we booked for a friends surprise 50th birthday which was unfortunately cancelled, but we managed to rearrange booking dates so that the stay coincided with my wife's birthday. Our first visit to Miller and Carter and we thought the rooms were very nice - everything we needed and warm and clean. Our first meal at M&C too, and it was delicious. I especially loved the onion bread! Breakfast was fabulous. Oh the staff were - without exception - really friendly and helpful”
“The food from A Taste of Indian is incredible, fresh and tasty. I went for the Chicken Passanda and was in heaven with every bite , accompanied with delicious naan bread . Highly recommended and I can't wait to eat another delicious meal.”
“The staff are really lovely. During the day, it's perfect for a quiet drink and then in the evenings it's a good place to go for a dance.”
“Brilliant place for a pint whilst you are waiting for your train as it is just right across the road. A nice pint”
“Been calling here for many years when coming back from Southport love this little pub it’s a pity I don’t live closer”
“I've been here a few times as part of a large group and can't fault it. Food is decent and well priced, service is excellent. I'll be back”
“I enjoyed a delicious Banquet with friends. However the service was mixed: one waiter was very good & cheerful one was the opposite. There was NO LIFT & no ground floor tables. 1 of my friends has serious mobility challenges & I am recovering from an operation; the lack of a lift is unbelievable!”
“After a change in management this beautiful little local pub is finally getting the love it deserves. The new food menu is delicious and affordable, I especially love the seasonal pumpkin soup! I can't express how lovely the staffing team are they really show care towards new and old customers. Definitely worth revisiting!”
“This pub was so cozy and adorable. The food and beer were great and the staff were all super friendly. As this was my first time in the area, it was definitely a pleasant surprise to stumble upon. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is in a very accessible area and very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be going again if we get the chance!!! Thank you Sandpiper for being a little hidden gem of our trip!!!!!”
“We ate 2 pizzas. 2pizzas for 20£ is pretty good. Then with the added 3£ for fries, that gives you a good lazy dinner. Open on Easter Monday, they still made food even when Tesco's was closed.”
“Great store that sells everyday groceries and fresh hot and cold sandwiches.”
“Great local pub, friendly staff, relaxed environment and has a pool table and slot/games machines for entertainment.”
“Local express Tesco,so handy on my doorstep for top up shops or if you fancy something different. Staff are very friendly and helpful.”
“Top-quality, traditional fish and chips that set the standard. Impeccably clean and welcoming. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and Tom consistently goes above and beyond for customers, often without even realising it. It's the little details that truly make a big difference.”
“I liked the real Tiffany fixtures.”
“Excellent stores, wide choice, great staff, always clean.”
“Great place for a lively night out especially if you like a bit of Karaoke. Good place to watch sports too.”
“My son and I had food this evening. Allthough we arrived just after 9pm and closes at 10. We were not rushed. Was served by a lovely, friendly guy, called Scott. He was so helpful and asked us what we prefer, suggested different platters, and explained the differences clearly. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent customer service. Scott is a credit to this restaurant. I would even go as far as saying the customer service we received from Scott has been the best I have had in a long time. Thanks. We will be going again. As ever food is always gorgeous at Nando’s x”
“The goto place when visiting Ormskirk, and the Saturday street market. Located at the centre near the clock tower, you are well placed to see everything that is going on.”
“John is an excellent worker and I was sad to hear that he'll have 15 days off work wonderful worker!”
“Great Place, for a bite to eat, got a great menu which will suit everyone's taste, the staff are really helpful and the whole interior of this place is beautiful, especially Christmas time. Clean , tidy and a pleasure to spend time here. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible . Wether your looking for a meal or just a drink , well worth a visit”
“Popped in to the pub today to try it as it’s under new management - really nice family, very welcoming and drinks were good. Kitchen opening soon so haven’t tried the food yet but we spoke to Alfi who will be managing the kitchen and is a really nice guy with great plans for food from next weekend. Also dog friendly - they made a big fuss of our dogs and they had the wood burning stove lit which created a lovely cozy place to stop on our walk. We will definitely be back to try the food and some more drinks. We hope the wider community supports them as well as this used to be a great pub on the canal to stop at and they really want to return it to that - we wish them success and happiness at The Slipway.”
“Came in randomly looking for food, was not disappointed. Food was reasonably priced, very tasty. Lovely staff, very friendly. Dogs are welcomed. Kid friendly and wheelchair friendly too. Clean, lovely scenery outside. All in all a very positive experience. Would recommend going.”
“Beautiful canal side pub in Burscough. Always enjoy a wine here by the window seats. Friendly atmosphere.”
