   Much nicer takeway nearby. When paying i was asked by a miserable person would i leave a tip. If it was nice food and value for money then i would was my reply. No reaction, i think they know the food is crap

   Great delicious and plentiful food. What lets it down is the very limited and poor quality wine. Only one choice of chardonay,sauvignon and pinot and to be honest really poor quality wine. This is a shame because really good food, which it is at the Peacock should be accompanied by really good wine. I would prefer to pay more or take my own, if they only serve this wine should I return. I would like to know what the options are.

   I enjoyed a delicious Banquet with friends. However the service was mixed: one waiter was very good & cheerful one was the opposite. There was NO LIFT & no ground floor tables. 1 of my friends has serious mobility challenges & I am recovering from an operation; the lack of a lift is unbelievable!

   One of very few restaurants that can be called as late as 8.30pm and still be seated for a meal. Fantastic setting ...nobody would imagine how such a small entrance could lead to a fabulous floor space. Dinner for 2 we ordered the second banquet and are delighted to find that not only was the food delicious but portion sizes were so filling we simply had the take the main courses home as a take out . Service was fantastic , setting very nice indeed, food delicious and fresh , reasonably priced . A fab understated little Chinese restaurant

   The best Chinese restaurant we've been to in a long time, food is fantastic, lovely relaxing atmosphere, staff are very friendly and welcoming, also spoke to Danny the owner at length, which you never really get to do these days !! Will definitely be going back!!

   Been a regular at the peacock for a number of years,, has the classic Chinese restaurant decor and feel to the place , few big banquet tables and 4 and 2 seaters, apart from the stairs as the restaurant is on 1st floor it is perfect, unfortunately my father struggles to make the stairs and unfortunately can not go anymore, the food is a great selection on offer many starters to choose from, the salt and pepper King prawn are huge and come crispy in the shell but my favourite is the squid and steak roll in black pepper sauce, not cheap but good quality and always leave fully satisfied, look forward to my next visit Lee pennington

   Bones left in food and not so much as an apology. We where not offered the fruit and ice cream at the end of our banquet we left without it. Kept waiting for far too long to order drinks or food whilst watching takeaways flying out of the door. Regular faces walked in after us and where tucking into their food before we had even been able to order. The wall directly next to my seat had old stains that had not been cleaned and the grease on the food was disgusting. That is not a sauce on the picture just grease. Chicken satay was very salty. Wouldn’t recommend. Good Customer service skills might have saved the day but unfortunately I feel robbed of £80
