“Lovely little cafe tucked away in the wharf, friendly staff and great food. The menus have been fancied up a bit, the veggie breakfast used to be spot on. It's a bit faffy now, so a toasted teacakes is now the go to choice.”

“Been going here for years and never had a bad meal or bad service. Superb food on the regular menu but also a great, varying selection of specials with good portion sizes and not overpriced. Staff and atmosphere are lovely. It really is a stand out place in Ormskirk and long may it continue! I only have one point for improvement which is that the otherwise fantastic burgers can get a bit soggy at the bottom I think because of the tomato under the meat.”

“Stopped off for a meal after days bird watching at Martin Mere. Glad we'd booked a table as place was really busy. Nice welcome when we arrived and service was efficient without being obtrusive. Generous portions and the homemade steak pie was delicious. Very reasonable prices too. Will be back.”

“We went on a Saturday night, it was extremely busy and the restaurant was quite noisy. We waited some time for our main courses but the food was faultless when it did arrive. My partner waited over 10 minutes for a second drink. We will be back but we will probably get takeaway or visit on a less busy evening next time.”

“Love Lidl. Great selection of fresh and dried produce. They also have a selection of produce you don't see in any other Supermarket. Having the Lidl App is a bonus as you can get even more discount on what are already reasonably priced items that you regularly purchase. Would highly recommend.”

“Briars Hall Hotel hosted a very large celebration of life service for me a few weeks ago which was attended by hundreds of people. The whole experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. So I want to say a massive thank you to all the management and staff at Briars who really took a lot of the stress away from me on an emotional day. The function rooms were beautifully presented, the food was excellent, the service was excellent. The planning and attention to detail to cater for the volume of people who attended was so professionally done. Throughout the whole process communication with Mark, Steve and other staff was superb. I've lost count of the amount of people who gave me amazing feedback on how good the celebration of life party was, though much of the credit should deservedly go to the management and staff at Briars Hall. It was a warm day and guests also made good use of the stunning outside areas of the hotel. I also had family from abroad staying overnight in the hotel who said their stay was excellent. Thanks again guys, I really can't thank you enough.”

“Had a great visit with friends for a round of golf. Friendly welcome on arrival. Sausage sandwich and a coffee before our game, very nice. Work was being done on the greens but were true and quick. The course was in good condition. There are a few long tight holes on the back 9, I would play differently next time. Plenty of water on the course also. After the round we had a pizza, this was very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. A great place.”

“Great New Years evening with delicious food and amazing atmosphere We came soon after the first lockdown and had to sit outside as inside was closed but still enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. We wanted to return and NYE was the best excuse, and not the last time either. The food was hot and tasty just as stated on the menu. I had asked for a couple of changes and this was done with no fuss to allow me to have the dish the way I wanted. All the staff were working hard but in a relaxed Manor which came across as a friendly place to sit back, relax and enjoy the evening. 100% chilled vibes and top notch food.”

“First time visiting The Sinners Club,it wont be the last. Tasty burgers, cooked well. Go simple with a double cheeseburger or be different and go for one of the many speciality burgers on offer. We had 2 burgers, one the basic cheeseburger and the other one of the speciality options, 2 lots of cheese and bacon topped fries, 10 onion rings, 2 pints of drink and one dessert and was just over £40 which i think for the quality and portion sizes was spot on. Lovely looking place, we went first thing saturday which was relaxing but i can imagine its an amazing place to be inside when its full. Definately a place you should visit if burgers are your thing.”

The hunters chicken breast I had was super fresh, juicy, tender and tasty… proper good pub food !! I don’t know why every pub in Liverpool can’t get it right and do a menu like yours! “It is my favourite place to go and have brunch especially during weekends. They serve breakfast till 2.45 pm. It's a must visit place. Their food is amazing. I usually end up ordering their soup of the day , cheese toast with eggs, skin on fries and, iced coffee. The quantity they provide is really good. It fills you up really well. The food is delicioussssss. I've also tried their vanilla shake as well as their strawberry milkshake. They are all too good. So plz visit and show them some more love. The ambience is also great.”
