Did an outside event for us. They worked very hard and the food was amazing. Eat in the bakehouse often and the food and staff are amazing. Highly recommended

We called in here today. 1st time. We shared a toastie which was really tasty Good coffee and tea. Hubby wanted a pork pie he had seen on Facebook page. All sold but we're told more were in the oven so waited for them to be cooked. Took longer than told they would be but we were happy sitting on the outside benches. Have to say the pork pies we're worth the wait. Hubby says The Best. We are a 45 minute drive away but will be going back .

Really disappointed with my visit today I come here on a regular basis, entered as normally would got menus and sat down on a table that was being cleared a young silent girl came and wiped table down replace cutlery and napkins had a look at lunch menu and decided on what we wanted waited close to 30 minutes without being asked did we want a drink let alone what we wanted for food, several times we tried to commune with said silent girl and each time she turned away and would not make eye contact to the point we stood up and left I understand we all have to start somewhere and I understand it can be quite intimidating working within the hospitality industry but quite frankly if you can’t have the basic life skills to communicate make basic eye contact and have a percentage of confidence in your role then you either need more basic training or find something you don’t have to communicate with the public honestly really upset view of the village bakehouse. Hopefully on our next visit said girl understands how to take a customers order or smile
