    Myself and the family went today (14/12/2025) for the first time after always driving past and wondering what it was like. We googled the pub first and the reviews where good as was the photos of the interior. We where very please that we did, the service was very welcoming and warming, the interior is lovely and the food and service was really good. We will definitely be coming back to have the other main which I was very much tempted with. Don't let the age of the building outside put you off, it is well worth the visit. Thank you for a lovely meal and great experience.

    This place has good food and great service: however, two things let it down - the sauces (they use cheap ketchup / mayo etc) which really lets down some great dishes (like fish and chips) and then second the chips. Homemade chips would be great but they serve oven / premade chips. Their steak, fish and pasta dishes are good and lovely desserts.

    Very pleasant country pub for a Christmas meal. Not very many options for vegetarians (a normal Christmas meal with all the veg, stuffing, sauces but with something like a good nut roast would be, I'm sure, a crowded pleaser; roast veg in a vegetarian oil of course!) Attentive service, reasonably priced, and all the food was lovely.

    My wife is in a wheelchair and not only is there not a disabled toilet, the door to toilet is inaccessible for a wheelchair.. It is a long walk from the toilet door to the stall which made it a struggle... Food was patchy.. Prawn cocktail was delicious.. Sunday roast came with mushy broccoli and carrots... Needless to say we won't be revisiting
