“We held our mums wake at the Bull and Dog this week. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. The area was ideal for our group of 35. The buffet was excellent , well presented and kept warm. 3 vegetarians in our group were full of praise for their meals. Our chosen playlist was piped into the area. “Heard a rumour that one of my favourite local eateries was in new hands these days. So I popped in to see if my friends Liv and Lennie were still there. But they've moved on now, so I thought I'd test out their replacements. And I'm very glad I did too. I'm thinking that the people of Rainford must be particularly patient, because I was greeted by a very happy young manager named Ben, and we had a proper good old chat. Not just a cursory "how do you do" exchange, but a real good old fashioned natter, before he told me about our new chef Lewis, and then introduced me to young Zoe, who looked after me beautifully for the rest of the afternoon. And I realised, I hadn't had a simple good old fashioned cheeseburger for over two years now, so Zoe brought me a delightfully filling burger with a side order of sweet potato fries. It was delicious. Every bit as good as I remembered it. Maybe the staff might change and the management might be different, but the smiles are just as warm and the food is just as gorgeous. “Excellent source for spices, rice, dried beans, and all kinds of delicious stuff. They run a tight shop too, really organised and clean. Very happy to find a place that sells sujuk and tinned dolma, lovely feta and Turkish cheese too!”

“Excellent parking, safe and well managed, easy access to store and town centre too. Useful concession inside with Timpsons for key cutting etc, as you go into store. There is toilet facility inside store and excellent pharmacy, plus cafe if you are hungry. Friendly staff in store and easy to navigate top quality fresh food and range of products like milk, bread and eggs.”

“OMG - the food at this Pizza Hut in Pemberton is the absolute BEST!! The staff are always so accommodating and super friendly! Unlike so many fast food restaurants, our orders are always ready on time, have the correct ingredients, are piping hot, and best of all - they’re always delicious and tasty!!”

“This Starbucks was suggested as a meeting point for a work rendevouz. Parking was easy, food and drink was standard Starbucks fare, but the staff were all really friendly and helpful.
