You don’t really get a full service here. The trims leave you looking messy, and there’s no proper head wash facility. You end up paying £30 just for a trim without wash. If you’re after something premium, I’d recommend KoKa Barbers – you’ll get a proper premium service there for the same price.
Barbers are usually friendly, chatty & accommodating in Tens… however, yesterday I had quite the opposite experience. The barber I had yesterday for my walk-in was pretty aggressive with the clippers, to a degree where I said I was happy with my haircut to be able to leave as quickly as possible. Rookie mistake, I know. He was smacking it against my head and ear during the haircut, and it kind of hurt a bit; it was as if he was in some sort of rush. The haircut I ended up with unfortunately wasn’t the one I’d asked for, some similarities but pretty much did his own thing with it leaving a big portion of the back unblended. This haircut then cost me £22 just to top it off, which is pretty expensive. I have a wedding to attend today, so this was quite important & the result was a bit of a let down given how good my previous haircuts have been in Tens. I don’t want to discredit the barber nor do I want to get him into trouble, he seemed a nice guy and I’m sure he does know what he’s doing - I’m no professional barber - however my overall experience wasn’t fantastic & I felt it was important to report this particular issue incase it may happen to someone else.
Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I can book via the app so I can get mine and my son’s hair done without having to wait for a barber to become available. All the guys are friendly but Nick in particular somehow manages to get my lively 3 year old to Sit still (which I can’t even do) and does a 10/10 job every time.
Always excellent. Friendly, professional, great customer service. The guys in Tens are really good at what they do. Nick has been cutting my hair for several years (my hair is not that easy to cut!), every time he does a brilliant job. Av, Muz and George all regularly cut both my sons’ hair, it’s a family friendly place, kids are welcomed, great cuts & get a lollypop.
Nick at Tens, has been my barber of choice, for about 12 years and i was one of his first customers at Tens. A great atmosphere in the shop, stylishly done and friendly staff. The family are always welcome and it’s the only place my kids have gone for a haircut and not moaned! Well done George on that one!

Felt very welcome even though I bumped at a random time before the christmas holiday without an appointment. I have met with Peter, he was very nice like the other barbers there. It is a friendly local barber and it is located in a very good place. They will deliver you the best haircut after you give the opinions and the ideas. They are very accurate with the timing(they don't take too much time like 45 mins but they also don't do it in 5 mins or 10 mins) and their price is as great as their service. Make sure to book an appointment tho, you might not be as lucky as I am :)
Today was the second time I have had my hair cut here and it has been great, George, the guy who cut my hair was probably the best barber I have ever had, really lovely and friendly and its probably one of the best hair cuts I have ever! He also sorted out the mess I made of my stubble/beard. He took his time, didn't rush and that is just how I like it. highly recommend Tens, cuts and stuff
