   Living locally, I’m aware of the sheer number of barbershops available, so I could say that competition is fierce. But the reality is there isn’t any competition. Phil is a colossus with clippers. A sensation with scissors. A titan with… well you get the idea. Worth booking ahead as he’s the man in demand. Unsurprising as he’s a delightful fella to boot. Put simply, if you want to look the business, you’ve got to turn to the best in the business. And here, you’ll find him.

   Tres bien! Get you hair cut at this place - especially Philip (@haircuts_like). I’ve had consistently bonne experiences here. Even when I apologised for turning up 10 minutes after my appointment, Phil did a full job. A little courtesy costs rien. The service is impeccably organised, the staff are welcoming, and the haircut: quality. Philip in particular is a great barber, a poet and a philosopher to rival Sartre, Derrida and Proust.

   This place is the best! Have always had difficulty finding the right barbers but never leave here disappointed. Really great attention to detail with the cuts/trims. Barbers are all so friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and clean too. Fully recommend!

   Went in looking like a scarecrow, came out looking like an actual human being again. Rian was brilliant, he took the time to talk through my needs (receding hairline and thinning hair) and spent the time making sure I got exactly what I needed. Even gave me some tips for trimming my beard. I've been to places that charge much more and they were rubbish compared to the level of service I got here. Cheers Rian! Thanks Cove17.

   Had a sick time at cove17 went and saw Hassan at saint James and he sorted me right out , I always feel when leaving a barbers that it’s not quite perfect or I prefer the haircut after a week but Hassan really made the effort to make me feel like a million bucks walking out that shop with the perfect Barnet. Highly recommend!

   First time at Cove17 since moving to the area. Going to a new place always feels risky but after reading reviews, thought I’d give it a shot. Excellent haircut and all round atmosphere. Rian is a great barber, took time to talk me through the cut and nice chat along the way. Very happy and will be returning.
