Second Visit Furby came home relaxed and very Happy would Recomend Julie definitely knows how to make a Dog feel Relaxed and does a top Groom
Definitely a crazy dog lady! But dose a really good job with my husky and my golden. Yes the shop is a but unkempt but it would compare it to a wood workers shed. She is clearly very experienced and would use her again.
She turned up late, said it would take 1.5 hours as he is a small dog, she was very good with him but the shop was filthy not at all like a professional dog groomer's advertised, we wish we hadn't left him there, when we went back he wasn't ready not even bathed we had to go away again & wait when I noticed blood over my jeans after he was jumping up at me, I know nails get cut short sometimes but I had asked her to tell me if that happened but she said she didnt, it was nearly 5pm when he was ready but his coat was not cut well & when we got home we noticed a wound on the top of his right back leg , & his tail had black bits in & looked filthy so I showered him again and washed out at least 10 adult fleas which he did not have before he went in She knocked £10.00 off the £ 60.00 bill.Absolutely disgusting.
Best groomer I have ever met!! She has an outstanding knowledge and skill but most importantly she has a special way with dogs!!
My Jasper's groomer. I wouldn't take him anywhere else. I trust her implicitly with him. I know he'll be groomed the correct way a Rough Collie should be groomed and not end up looking like another breed of dog! I see so many posts on FB from owners of Rough Collies who are bitterly disappointed when they fetch their dog from the groomer. I was fortunate in that Maxine was highly recommended by Jasper's breeder so it was a no-brainer that I chose her. I have to travel on 2 buses to get to her salon but that's no issue as Jasper loves travelling on the bus and the passengers always compliment his glorious coat.
I took my very nervous dog to Maxine to have her nails trimmed. My Jackchi is really not good with new people, but Maxine literally cuddled her the whole time, showed me some tips on how to keep her calm, performed doggy reiki on her whilst clipping her and spoke with me about her past experiences in many dog ventures such as show judging etc. She is a lovely lady with a lot of care for the dogs she grooms and is clearly very knowledgeable. I see some other comments on here are a little unfair. I know a lot of business run on having a pristine appearance, but I personally personally rather have someone take good care of my dog than have a fancy shop and upset my baby. Barks and bubbles comes highly recommended by me
Maxine was amazing with Bobby on his first cut. She spent so much time to get him used to the process, playing with him etc. to make sure he was comfortable. When I went to pick him up he looked like a new pooch (in a good way) she'd done an amazing job. Couldnt recommend enough.
What I am by impressed by is that Maxine is a professional in her field. She shows dogs. She judges dogs. But she is keen to groom our dog pals for their every day lives: running up & down the River Mersey, swimming, playing in muddy puddles, rolling in god-knows-what !! We took our friend Peggy for a trim today. She looks even more beautiful after a perfect hairdo from Maxine. We highly recommend, so does Peggy xx
Maxine was brilliant. Made my dog so comfortable and happy and look amazing as well. She gave us some brilliant advice around grooming. Couldn't recommend her enough
