   So upset today. Brought my cockapoo in for an arranged appointment at 3pm. They denied having any record of it. I am disabled and stood for sometime with lily pulling on the lead while they searched unsuccessfully on the computer. I was offered another Appointment next week and was asked to pay a deposit! I did not have my purse with me so had to leave it. Very disappointed Julia Dickson

   Took my 1 year old spaniel in for a groom the week of Christmas. The lady who did his groom couldn’t have been less interested if she tried. He still had a Matt behind both ears, he’s coat was still long, he smelt clean but apart from the length of his ears were shorter he didn’t look like he had been groomed. 4 weeks later he looks a mess! His front chest is all choppy! I’m devastated at the cost and how he was presented back to me. I don’t think the lady even likes dogs. Avoid at all costs. Very expensive for minimal cut.

   I’ve had two extremely different grooming experiences here as of late. Last month I took my gorgeous puppy to have a puppy groom to get him used to different people and different noises and to desensitise him. He had an amazing experience and came out fluffy, smelling beautiful and most importantly he came out happy! We were told he was really good and he handled everything amazing considering he is so young. They advised us to book in again a month later which we of course did as it was such a positive experience. The second time (this month) was dreadful. Our baby went in being carried and cradled which was lovely to see but as we were looking around the shop the groomers proceeded to bang on the window to tell us we needed to collect him, at this point it had been 30 minutes which was really unusual as last time it took an hour and I was told it would take the same again especially as I had booked the EXTRA £10 Christmas spa. I went to reception immediately a little nervous and worried considering their urgency. A lady then sat on the desk said to me “are you Buddy’s owner? Why haven’t you crate trained him?” Which I was taken aback with. Crate training isn’t something we have opted to do based off our KC registered breeders instructions. “You need to tell us that then because he’s used the crate as his bathroom and now he’s covered in poo and it’s all over our walls” to which I was extremely apologetic and asked if they wanted me to go and clean it as it was my doggies fault. To which she then stormed off to the back. Buddy was brought back to me very scared, upset, and distressed which broke my heart! It’s his second groom and he is only 4 months old so I don’t want to pick my baby up so distressed. The lady that brought him out said “do you bath him at home?” To which I said yeah it’s been super muddy on walks so he has a bath no problem! He’s a water baby “you need to stop bathing him at home because he needs to get used to our way not yours.” This sentence completely threw me off guard. I can’t bathe my own dog? The extras I had paid for hadn’t been done, his nails hasn’t been cut, he smelt of nothing but wet dog and Buddy had poo on his paws from being locked in the kennel to mess with his own poo and the bandana that they were supposed to put on him was thrown on the counter for me to pick up myself. It’s honestly just not good enough and I’m so sad for him. He’s a literal puppy and got treated so badly for being scared!!!!!!!!!

   Did a great job on my pomeranian, she is so much tidier and comfier now! The groomer was so lovely and my dog seemed happy and at ease when she came back which isn't always the case. Can't remember the lady's name unfortunately but she was very good! Would recommend

   If I could give this place zero stars I would! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE TO BE GROOMED! I took my Cavapoo pup in today, showed them a pic of how I wanted her to be groomed, which they completely disregarded and scalped my poor girl! They've clipped her all over apart from her tail and head, which are very uneven and have chunks of fur missing. Sinced we picked her up she's also been growling at us every time we go near her, which she's never done before, so God only knows how they've treated her there! I'm absolutely furious! I will definitely not be going back there and urge everyone else not to use The Groom Room.

   It's another groom for my dog Edgar. I am really impressed every time he gets out! He's so handsome! I can't afford 59£ every month but twice a year or 3 times a year he gets pampered at the Groom Room. The attention to the details makes a difference! I tried to go to some other cheaper groomers who asked for a price, then charged some more, the parfume they applied was horrible, fur still wet, tail not done, bum not done, paws not done ...even though I requested. Today Edgar looks neat, wears a subtle fragrance, desheded, spic& span! Will choose the same place in early spring. Thanks

   The Groom Room have always done a great job of my dog. The self dog wash however can be a real life saver if your dog needs a quick wash down. £5 for 10 mins with everything included, it’s much better than getting the bathroom covered in mud and having the wet dog run through the house.

   ATROCIOUS ! My beautiful dog could not have received a worse haircut (well, SHAVE)...she is a cockapoo! ( despite the photo suggesting otherwise )
