I went shopping at Asda in Birkenhead yesterday and at the fruit & Veg there were a lot of fruit out of date and looked like it went bad, same with some of the Veg, a lot of it looked like it had been out for a while. The floor looked dirty, the whole supermarket is not managed very good

Think one of the workers was quite racist and rude. My daughter and I both got told we couldnβt buy bonjela even though we are both of age and showed our ID. The same guy then told me he was going to ban me from the store because I went and bought it from the pharmacy. I genuinely think this was an act of racism as his reasoning made no sense if both my daughter and I are of age. There was no need to threaten to ban me from the store just because I wanted to buy bonjela. I also tried phoning up to complain as I wasnβt happy with this and he answered the phone. He would not pass it on to any of his colleagues or managers. The entire call was him telling me it was a rule and saying we didnβt show ID when we definitely did. When I pointed that out, he back tracked and said my daughterβs friend didnβt have ID even though she was not the one buying anything and kept making excuses. He kept saying I was buying medication for a minor when my daughter is literally over the age of 18.

Very disappointed with a staff member here...I dont know his name but he is an old Indian man...I was doing my routine shopping when my son asked to eat a banana and started saying he was hungry...like otherwise previously I had permission from staff saying it was ok to have fruit as long as I can pay for it later at checkout...so I opened the banana for him...and all a sudden this horrible staff member shouted at me in front of my son (4 year old) and calling me a thief...I was so shocked the way he approached me...I was shaken and in tiers...I reported the situation to the manager who was really kind and apologised...I never got a sorry from the horrible staff member...this is my regular asda I shop at...anyone who shops at this asda beware of this horrible staff member...otherwise all staff where very helpful. I can't believe I had to go through something horrible like this just to give one banana to my son because he was hungry...I know some would say I should have paid for it first but when your in a stressful situation and your son is demanding for something to eat then you have no option...I still paid for the banana he had eaten...the lady weighed 1 banana which cost 14p....morrisons are really good they give you free fruit for children especially.

Hi, I came in yesterday to the Birkenhead store on Grange Road, to get one of them birthday cakes which you put your own photograph on. To say I struggled to do it was an understatement. I asked a young lad in the bakery if he could help me at all. He didn't hesitate to come and show me how it was done. I would have been lost without him. He was kind, patient, and nothing was too much trouble. I asked him his name, and he said it was Kieran. I'd just like to thank him so much for his help and to say he is an asset to your store x. Thank you Kieron from Geraldine court x

The store is situated in a modern building and offers a spacious and well-lit shopping environment. Inside, customers can find a wide variety of groceries, fresh produce, bakery items, meat and poultry, dairy products, frozen foods, and household items such as cleaning supplies, laundry products, and personal care items. Asda Birkenhead also has a pharmacy, where customers can fill prescriptions and purchase over-the-counter medications. The store also offers a range of services, such as photo printing, home delivery, and Click and Collect, where customers can order items online and pick them up at the store. The supermarket has ample parking, both for cars and bicycles, and is accessible to those with disabilities. Asda Birkenhead is open seven days a week, with opening hours from 7am to 11pm, except on Sundays, when it opens at 10am and closes at 4pm.

The range of food is excellent. The in-store pizza deli is highly recommended. The electric-charging points in the garage have been broken for weeks. Clearly not a priority to get them fixed or improved, despite the superior chargers functioning for years at Tesco and Lidl.
