   This place is located at 2 mins walk from train station, bus station, and the center. The ensuite room was very clean. Also the communal Kitchen. Price reasonable as well.

   I booked this room in Doncaster with me and my partner. We were both wanting to have a hostel like room for the weekend for no other reason than a base. The price and reviews reflected this however I am extremely upset by the experience and the care and service which we received. After booking through Agoda, many emails were sent asking for a security deposit. I paid the small fee and we arrived late after informing what we thought to be the service office we wouldn't be there until 11, which was agreed. Upon arrival, it was down a dark alley way with a broken and boarded up window next to the door and with a keypad. I had not received any notification of a code via email or text. Called up the service team, who we realised were based in a call center miles away, to ask for assistance and the code. We were provided 3 codes, all wrong. After 30 minutes in the rain, a gentleman let us in whilst he was putting out the bins. This place was eerie, had loose wires hanging and felt, what I can only describe as dodgy. We then made our way upstairs to room 7 and were faced with another keypad. All codes given were still unsuccessful. At this point, it was nearing midnight and there was genuine fear for our safety as the dark alley way and lack of information was nothing but scary. We had to leave and spent a further hour find alternative accommodation. After contacting the Agoda support team, I have received nothing helpful, and my money cannot be returned due to the cancellation notice. Throughout this experience, I kept receiving so many messages through email. Clearly pre typed and unaware of the dissatisfaction and the inability to access the paid accommodation. Ironically, I have been prompted to leave a review several times. This review reflects the poor service provided by both the owner of Gate West House and agoda.
