Parked here for a appointment. EVERY space is allocated for VIP, Orange badge holders etc etc. Had to drive all the way to the top to finally get a spot. Very expensive parking.
Only rooftop parking for mere mortals!! ONE ticket machine, which doesn't give receipts...so no proof of payment!! I'll await my fine, because i can't believe that i didn't screw up when i operated the ticket machine!!!
Careful when using this car park , iv had many times when apcoa's system has been down so unable to pay , then get a fine which contacting this company is nearly impossible they are only contactable via email so they can heartlessly reply informing that you still have to pay a fine and that if you don't they pass onto debt collectors or enforcement. Iv also had multiple times this car parks software has under charged which there is no way to correct the price then a week later they send a fine even though it's a fault with their car parks charging system. Stay well away from Apcoa complete scandals.
Never been before. Had difficulty with the app , fortunately the APCOA man was in his office. He was friendly and most helpful.
Even though it's anpr you still have to print confirmation and put it in your windscreen. Also be careful of car park signs for restricted parking, they are very small so it's easy to get caught out. Good car park for the piece hall though, reasonably priced.
Used the multi storey car park when going to a concert at the Piece Hall. Took a long time to get out as there are traffic lights literally as you leave the car park. Other than that a typical APCOA car park. It's pay and display or they have an app you can use to pay to save you queuing at the ticket machine.
Do not scan the QR code on level 3, takes you to the wrong site, not a car parking one, have just spent an hour hanging on phone to Apcoa to inform them - just left hanging on
Absolutely disgusting lifts, dirty and one today was full of vomit. Most of the ticket machines were broken, Considering we had to pay £4.50 for 2 hours parking id expect the area to be maintained. Wont be using that again.
If I could give it zero I would, had a terrible experience in there on Sat 5th Nov 22. Had to park on the top level, as most of the empty spaces are reserved. Then tried to find a ticket machine to pay, which was two floors down! I was then confronted by 3 screaming and shouting lads going absolutely mental. Eventually found a ticket machine which requires Reg number. It was impossible to use as the buttons are so faded, so I decided to leave. On the way out I asked the lads what they were doing and got a real load of abuse from one of them. If Id got out of the car I would have given him a beating he'd never of forgotten. Its the nearest I've ever got to getting sent down. Really glad I left.
We were attacked in the stairwell. A plastic drinks bottle was thrown down the stairs, then as we continued walking down the stairwell to ground level someone dropped a glass bottle onto the landing we were on. It shattered and showered glass everywhere. Really shook us up. We telephoned APCOA customer services to report the incident and complain but couldn’t get through. The car park is filthy and the lifts stunk. It’s insecure with no controlled access from the street and very poorly lit. No sign of security anywhere. It’s expensive considering it’s a town, not a city, and all the problems. We were required to place our confirmation email on the dashboard which contained personal data which we had to obscure. The only positive is you can book online in advance. I’d avoid as I’m sure there are safer places to park in Halifax.
