   Do not go! This was my first time visiting the salon. I visited yesterday morning. I had a pedicure. It wasn’t worth the money. My nails were not filed nor painted properly. I was the first customer in their shop and it was freezing. I asked for him and his colleague (a lady) to turn on the heating, they ignored me. I asked a second time and then the lady said something about ‘cold air wafting from the basement’. They didn’t turn on the heating. The lady was wearing outer wear indoors, and she refused to turn on the heating. She offered me a drink, I declined. They both talked a lot in their respective language. My nail technician hadn’t finished working on my feet, but at that point had proceeded to work with a second client at the same time. I thought this was a little grubby as whenever he’d return to inspect my drying nails, he’d walk with a load of nail dust shedding from his clothes - which belonged to another person entirely! When I thought this service and pedicure was the best I was going to get at the salon, I wanted to run away. I didn’t want to argue or insist they paint or file them again. So I sat quietly until I could leave. When I asked how to pay, he said they only take bank transfers or cash payments - is this even legal? If this is income dodging can’t they just be reported to HMRC?! So I trawled to a Barclays branch at the top of the road before I could leave the salon. This arrangement for cash or transfers wasn’t made clear at the very outset nor clearly posted on their shop window. Insipid customer service. Awful pedicure - worst I’ve ever had. Go elsewhere.

   The nails they do just don’t last. Mine didn’t even make it 7 days. One of my nails peeled off , so I went back to get it fixed. The first time, the lady was okay about it since it had only been a day after I got them done. But about five days later, the polish on my thumb peeled off, so I had to go back again. This time, she looked annoyed and was pretty rough with my hands, pushing them in and out of the machine and saying things in another language that I didn’t understand. If the nails were done properly the first time, I wouldn’t have had to go back twice. Instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, her attitude completely turned me off. It’s a shame, but after that experience, I won’t be returning.

   I had a great experience at Rich Nails – I came in for acrylics before a holiday and they did a beautiful job. The shape and finish are exactly what I wanted, and the powder colour looks so clean and elegant. The pricing was a little higher than expected (£40 instead of £32), but they kindly gave me a discount which I really appreciated. I wanted to tip but couldn’t afford it this time, so I just want to say thank you here. I’ll definitely come back!

   I got baby boomer nail extensions done here. VERY VERY UNHAPPY. I always get nail extensions, which typically last up to 3 weeks minimum. I happened to go to Rich nails because I couldn’t go to my usual place, my nails started coming off after ONE WEEK. I took pictures of it for proof as I was away on business and super busy. Went into see them 15 days after my appointment with not one nail left on, to which I was basically told to go away because I should have called and they couldn’t care less. There were three of them sat in the empty salon doing their own nails. They couldn’t even be bothered to help me get mine done again considering the poor work they did. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

   While filing my nails with the electric nail file, the nail technician literally made a hole in my nail. It was really painful and he didn’t even bother to apologise. They couldn’t even apply the gel properly as it was too painful. At the end of the manicure they didn’t offer a discount and acted as nothing happened. I asked for a discount as I now have a hole drilled in my nail bed. They gave me 6 pounds off and did not apologise. I will never go back!!!

   I wanted to give this salon a go because it’s local to me, my regular salon is in Barnet so I thought it would be great if I could start coming here instead. I showed the technician a specific photo and firstly asked if they would actually be able to replicate it. She said yes definitely, and told me to take a seat. Not only half way through did she realise she couldn’t do it, but none of the workers in the salon could. The whole thing was unprofessional, and they wasted 3 hours of my time when I’d specifically put aside the day to get my nails done. At the beginning, they had assured me that they’d be able to do what I’d asked for no problem. I had to get them to remove them as the nails looked terrible, and I left with what I came in with. They’re unskilled, and on top of that, have rubbish customer service. They gossip amongst each other, and don’t bat an eye to their customers. For their price point, you think they’d do better. Go somewhere else and save your money.

   I have been getting my nails done here for the last 18months... the staff are all great and my nails are the best I've ever had - my only complaint is that during the winter, the salon is FREEZING, there is no heating on, not only are the customers seriously cold but the poor staff are all wearing layers and huge coats... in terms of a duty of care from the employer to the staff, they are really failing here and it's very sad and disappointing to see.
