Excellent nail salon in The Borough (Southwark) in an area with lots of options I always return. Always welcoming, attentive and listens to client. Has been especially patient with my daughter who has special needs. My nails always last and are top quality. Fully recommend to others seeking a great nail salon in this area within London.
I’ve been coming to Charming for the last year for gel manicures and simple removal/reapplication. All of the technicians are lovely. You get an efficient service with attention to detail - and even when they are super busy they do their very best to get you in and sorted! It’s a very chill vibe, very reasonable prices and I always leave happy with a fresh new set :)
I wish I had read the bad reviews prior to visiting this place. Nevertheless, it's definitely the first and last time I will visit. I decided to visit this shop as it is literally across the road from my work office and having read good reviews, I decided to give them a go. Being the person that I am and in my line of work, professionalism, great candidate experience (in this case good customer service) and efficiency are of utmost importance to me. So long as I receive good service and satisfied overall, the price of something wouldnt be an issue. However, paying for poor service is diabolical. I arrived for my appt and was met by a lovely, friendly young girl. She enquired on what I wanted and I explained that I'd booked a pedicure and a BIAB infill. She took me to the back and I was Initially impressed because 3 staff were attending to me (two on either side removing my BIAB and the friendly girl doing my pedicure) which was good as I was tired from work and concerned that i would be there till late. The pedicure was the worst ive ever had. The water didnt have anything in it that you'd expect when getting a pedicure - it was just water. The girl used the usual flat grater to work on the soles of my feet, no blade to remove dead skin etc, a quick 2/3 mins massage and that was it. I instantly starting missing the woman that usually does my pedicures as what I received was a joke! I feel bad speaking poorly about the pedicure as out of all the staff, the girl was the most friendliest out of them all. Now to the guy with blond hair, absolutely rude/arrogant. I tried making small talk with him and received nothing. His aura was moody, completely off, hardly smiled. One positive is that he did a good job with my BIAB. However, when it was time to pay and I questioned the price from £75 to £78, it was his response that got to me. He was abrupt, loud, unprofessional and even began speaking in his language which is so rude!!! A big "no no". They've definitely lost a good paying customer as if things had been different, I would have made that shop my go to place but i would NEVER visit there again! I couldn't justify paying what I did for what I received. Sadly, my colleagues who were keen to hear my experience to then book their own appointment have decided not to and to remain with their local shop. Word of advice - treat everyone as you would want others to treat you. Its that simple.
I've been coming to Charming Nails for the past three years, and I truly wouldn’t go anywhere else. The quality is consistently excellent—my gel nails last longer than anywhere else I’ve tried, and my natural nails have grown stronger thanks to how carefully they’re treated. The team always takes the time to remove gels gently, without damaging the nail underneath. On top of that, the atmosphere is always calm and welcoming. The team is lovely—professional, kind, and genuinely caring. Thank you, Charming Nails, for always doing such a great job!
I've been coming to Charming Nails since the beginning of the year and I've never left the salon disappointed! This is the first time doing nail art and I've absolutely blown away with this amazing set! I want to thank Charming nails for always providing excellent customer service, providing a friendly and nice atmosphere but more importantly thank you for your unmatched talent! 100%. recommend, as this is the best nail salon I've been to by far in London!
I have been getting manicures and pedicures regularly for 2 years now. A month ago I got a manicure at this place, and a week later I developed Paronychia (Nail infection) on two of my nails. I have never had this issue before and it has been very severe and has required me taking antibiotics. I do not recommend this place as there must be an issue with the materials they are using or unexperiences nail tech as I have went to many other places and this has never happened.
The team here does a fantastic job. Clean salon. Good prices. Lots of color selections.
Very efficient and great to have in the area, since the elephant and castle shopping centre has gone. A little odd they ask you "what colour" as soon as you walk in the door. That's just how efficient they are though. One woman seems to be good at speaking to customers, but tbh they're not required to talk to customers, and they're fast and respectful and patient enough. Prices are standard £35 for shellac/gel and £30 for pedicure no gel
My husband and I came for pedicures. Amazing detailed treatment. Relaxing environment. Were able to fit us in short notice. Thank you charming Nails.
Best manicure I’ve ever had! I’ve been getting gel manicures pretty much every two weeks for the last four years and this was the best. The lady paid so much attention and her precision was amazing, I had three coats of polish and one clear and there were no lumps or bumps. The manicure lasted three weeks with absolutely no chipping. The lady managed to get way more cuticle off than usual, meaning my nails looked ‘done’ for ages. Have already recommended this to my friends and can’t wait to go back for another manicure in the new year!
