   Just a heads-up to future visitors, even if you book an appointment, be prepared to wait! While waiting, the manager (a man with no apparent knowledge of nail care) will likely step in and start filing nails and cutting cuticles until an actual technician becomes available. This caused serious damage to my nails. When a technician finally took over, he did his best to fix the situation, but the damage had already been done. I’ve been here four times hoping my experience would improve, but today was the final straw. I genuinely feel bad for the technicians, they are lovely and VERY skilled but the manager should not be working on clients’ nails if he doesn’t know what he’s doing!!! To make matters worse, when I called to raise my concerns, the manager blamed me and shouted at me. Completely unacceptable. I won’t be returning

   I have visited this salon several times, and unfortunately I have repeatedly felt that customers are not treated equally. Even with a confirmed booking, I have often been made to wait while other customers (particularly white customers) were given preference. At first I thought it was just a one-off situation, but when it happens every time the salon is busy, it feels like my time is not valued and I am being neglected. Respecting appointments and treating all clients fairly should be a basic standard in customer service, and sadly that has not been my experience here.

   The service itself was good - the nail technician was super friendly and the atmosphere in the place is lovely. I was also seen on time. The shape of the nails is lovely. However, this is the second time I’ve had gel colour from here and it was chipped on two nails within 5 days. Similar situation the first time as well but I thought it may have been a one off so wanted to try again.

   Amazing service! This lovely salon squeezed me in for an end-of-day walk in, I got seen immediately. They provided me with plenty of colour options and similar alternatives to choose from. Will definitely return!

   Very good service, have been going here for years and never had any issue with the nails after, they always last well, staff are really welcoming and friendly, they do get really busy but they handle this very well and really organized

   Just left Mai Nails. Very disappointed. Made a booking for 12:45pm as wanted to be sure if a spot. Arrived at 12:42pm and could see they were busy but wasn't too worried. Waited 20 minutes before asking if they could see me soon as I'd paid for my parking and didn't want that to run out. Eventually sat me in the chair and ran the hot water only to leave me again. After another 20 minutes I had to leave as I didn't want to have to extend my parking for something that wasn't my fault. Real let down as I'd heard good things. I'm over 8 months pregnant and was so looking forward to a nice treat as not sure when I will get back. They apologised but not really helpful when you've made the effort to drive somewhere, pay for parking and then are made to wait 40 minutes. Also they only take cash which is not made clear and I only happened to notice a small paper stuck on the wall so something to note as they don't tell you that when booking.

   Brilliant nail bar, the staff are super efficient and very talented. Reasonable prices too. My gels last at least three weeks and would probably last longer if i didn't have to do any housework! Highly recommend.

   First time visiting Mai Nails, I was really impressed with the service. Me and a friend had our nails done at the same time so we were sat next to each other and able to chat comfortably. I had classic gel nails done and the level of service from the technicians was superb. They kept checking in to see if I was happy with the colour, nail shape etc. which was reassuring. Walked away with the best manicure I've had a long time and two weeks later, the results are still great! I'll definitely be back.
