I find Codivo an excellent shop for my African foodstuff needs. They have a genuine knowledge and experience with the large array of items they sell despite the fact that these come from different parts of the continent. The staff are ever ready to inform on the products, give personalised advice and are friendly and professional with customers. Their products are top quality with transparent pricing. The shop is truly a five star small business.

Codivo African Store in Wigan is an absolute gem! The shop is always well-stocked with a wide variety of authentic African foods, fresh produce, and hard-to-find ingredients. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality is excellent. The staffs and madam are warm, friendly, and always happy to help with recommendations if you’re looking to try something new. You can really tell they care about their customers and community. Whether you’re after everyday essentials, traditional spices, or special treats, Codivo is the perfect place to shop. Highly recommended!

Sadly, the owner started out as a pleasant lady with good quality produce and fair pricing. However, over the past month her behavior has changed drastically, and greed seems to have taken over. This is yam season the markets are full of fresh yam everywhere yet she continues to push the false story of an “imaginary scarcity” just to overcharge customers. She sells an average tuber of yam, which normally costs between £2.50 and £3.50, for more than £7. When I questioned the price in early August, she told me, “Oh, I suffered before I got this yam, and it’s expensive.” At the time I believed her and made a purchase, but weeks later she is still using the same excuse. Yes, no one is forced to buy, but it’s disappointing and painful to see such dishonesty and deceit.
