Fantastic little cafe in Westhoughton. The decor and general vibe really makes it feel like you're sitting down in somebodies own house having a lovely home cooked meal. The food and drinks were delicious, staff were excellent, and a good price for the amount you got. Also, the coffee pots are adorable!

Called in for lunch today for a Christmas exchange with friends, very lucky to get table as there were five of us. Food was lovely, home made cheese pie and meat and potato pie went down very well followed by lemon and cream sponge with real cream. Lovely atmosphere and lovely ladies and great prices.

I visited on Tuesday afternoon with my son and 2 friends. I had booked in advance for our afternoon teas, which I had to do. We were seated immediately and brought our food. I have to say, that as someone who has eaten her fair share of afternoon teas, this one was one of the very best! There were ample sandwiches ham, cheese, beef and chicken, and 5 different types of cakes all homemade, apple strudel with custard, vanilla slice, banoffee pie and two different versions of scones with jam & cream. All this was washed down with tea and coffee pots full of either decaff or ordinary tea or coffee or speciality teas not the usual one cup. We were also asked if we needed a top-up! We ate at our leisure, not feeling rushed at all, and takeaway boxes were provided for the food we couldn't eat. The decor is as you would expect for a tea shop and is lovely. The staff are wonderful and friendly, and they couldn't do enough to help us. The price is definitely worth it at £20 per person, I have been to other places that have been more expensive for less food and not as tasty. In conclusion, please if you're in the Westhoughton area and looking for a place for something to eat, either a snack or something a bit more special give Thyme for Tea a call, I promise you won't be disappointed! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful afternoon, we'll definitely see you again soon!

The service and food here was excellent. We arrived at a very busy time and we were treated with the highest quality of service. My husband and I ordered two full English breakfast’s. Everything arrived piping hot and was delicious. Cannot recommend Thyme for Tea enough. You may have to book a table in advance as it is very popular.

A cute little cafe near the middle of town. They offer a carvery on Sundays if you pre-book it, but the foods available on the menu are plentiful and delicious. The staff are also exceptional, they were very kind and caring to me and my disabled grandparents. And they had such a great attitude and smile.

Lovely place, lovely food. Sausages and bacon are high quality, fresh and well cooked. Eggs available however you like them. Hash browns are too oniony but I can't stand onion so personal preference. Been here a few times now and will continue to visit

Both my 1 year old and dog love the cafe. The staff are very nice and always happy the food is excellent and reasonably priced and the cafe itself is a lovely and unique setting. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Really nice place, had lovely coffee and some toast with jam. It's also dog friendly and they gave my 2 little ones a plate of sausage which they loved. Will definitely be going here again.
