Went for my flu jab on Friday the staff are lovely very helpful in this pharmacy definitely recommend going here.
This place used to be good but I’ve recently heard difficulties with the current pharmacist from locals, which I ignored as I’ve always had no issues. Today, I think I’ve never been so baffled in my life at his attitude. I asked for flu vaccine, my GP requests it yearly for me due to health reasons and I’ve never had any concerns getting it from pharmacies. As I like to save time with GP appointments. Also, as a nurse, we are entitled too. This pharmacist today, immediately interrupted when I asked his colleague and said “let me see if in stock”. Maybe introduce yourself politely. Secondly, he said I’m not entitled. I explained I have asthma, treated yearly by steroids and I have a preventer. GP requests I have it. He then went to explain guidelines. I said ok I’ll pay, he said well it’s £30. I said it’s fine, I’d rather pay than become unwell with my asthma and risk my life. He just seemed so negative and unhelpful. I walked out in frustration. I really don’t understand the difficulties. I have called my GP who said I am 100% entitled to it and sent a text confirmation. I went to another local pharmacy and since had it no problem. The incompetency was very apparent with this pharmacist. As a health professional for over 15 years as a clinical nurse specialist, I think his lack of knowledge on guidelines is disappointing and causes a lot of pointless appointments with GPs when they’re already stretched. As my husband experienced with this same pharmacist for a throat issue- which he then had to go to GP who simply prescribed as issue was very clear. There is just no point going here if you have to go GP anyway. I get my monthly prescriptions from here and I have now cancelled. And I think I had a lucky escape as he doesn’t seem competent to complete a vaccine. However, I will say the women in this place are always accommodating and polite. He should take in house training from them.
I went to pick up the rest of my daughters prescription this morning only to be told rudely that I had come in on Thursday at 2.15pm and picked it up. Now unless I can teleport I was at work and kids were in school I explained this and was informed that someone had picked it up. I went home double checked and no one had picked it up. So rang back and was told it had been missed placed. I went back AGAIN to pick it up. What worries me is that she told me she gave the prescription to someone that wasn't me or any member of my family, but the prescription was still there. So she lied to me. Won't be going to this pharmacy!!!!!
I am a retired pharmacist and was disappointed at the service level at this pharmacy which I visited this afternoon. The assistant at the counter was busy and she did apologise for making me wait. However, three other members of staff, including the pharmacist opted to ignore me. The pharmacist, who did not appear to be busy walked past me three times and completely ignored me. After a wait of about ten minutes, I walked out of the pharmacy.
Staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help. Jaz the pharmacist has great knowledge and isn’t afraid to go out of his way to make sure that every patient gets the best possible service. Best pharmacy I have been to hands down
This pharmacy is amazing a lady name lyn I normally deal with and she goes above and beyond and I feel she needs to be aware of her apriciatation and every thing she's done for me I'm very greatfull and also the staff there are very helpful and polite on the phone I'd rate 10 stars if I could x
I have been a customer of Yew Tree Pharmacy for over 20 years, and their services have always been prompt & accurate. Staff are always welcoming and the local community would suffer if they were not on our doorstep. Thanks
Absolutely shocking. Waited 25 minutes for my prescription for them to tell me they didn’t have it. They did the same to other people also waiting. Also advised a lady that her prescription was probably still on the system when it was sent over a couple days ago. Was so unorganised they got everyone to write down their details on paper. I presume my prescription along with many others is sitting there somewhere. Very frustrating as I only popped out for 5 minutes during work but ended up being almost half hour later with no prescription. Need to sort it out.
This has been the best pharmacy I have had the pleasure of using a few times now since moving to the area, and I have to say that all of the staff are always polite, helpful and respectful. Customer/patient care is 5 star!
