   I have been here a few times in the past with friends and enjoyed the evening. Tried to go with two kids (6 and 7) at 5.30pm on a weekday to be told "no kids after 5pm, sorry". Disappointing that the kids curfew was so early but if that's the vibe they want then fair enough. I can understand later in the evening but 5pm is ridiculously early! Posting for others info that might be coming with kids only to be turned away. It won't stop me coming back with friends but it's disappointing to see this in an otherwise family friendly area.

   A little gem in the heart of Stockton Heath. The menu looks great and reasonably priced. Good range of drinks with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff were polite and helpful.

   We had a very similar experience yesterday evening to someone on Christmas Eve based on their review. Basically very poor unfriendly service. All we were asking for was service with a smile however staff looked like they’d rather be anywhere but there and everything seemed like too much trouble. When we asked for the manager a young girl came over. We were respectful but stressed how poor the service had been (by her included). All she could say was “we don’t usually get told this” over and over again. Did this suggest that we were making it up?! She then asked what she could do and said if we were edging for a discount she could look at it, in what seemed like a rude, condescending manner. We stressed that we didn’t want a discount and would be paying full price, however safe to say no tip was left. Service with smile goes a long way when people don’t get out much.

   Only popped in for a quick drink passing, I really liked the place when inside tho. ill be visiting again soon to spend abit more time in hopefully. its got a really good selection of drinks and a nice chilled atmosphere.

   We popped in for some wine before Christmas and decided to stay for a quick lunch while we waited for our dog to be finished at the local groomers. We hadn’t realised that there was a bar/cafe at the rear of the wine shop. It was a good spot, not too busy which suited us. And the pizza and garlic bread was really very good. They were out of Coca Cola though, otherwise it was a lovely lunch. A rare trip out for us.

   Came here on Christmas Eve Eve for what me and the girls were hoping would be a wonderful Christmastime, as is an annual tradition, yet the service was poor from start to finish. There must have been at least 4 members of staff on, each with a gormless, if not hungover expression of the eyes, as if they’d rather be anywhere but serving their customers. Which incidentally, they were, when going to the toilet and having to ask for more drinks, most of the staff were sat on stools near the front- no doubt scrolling on Tik Tok or counting down the hours until they could go for their own Christmas tipple. And then what felt like every half hour they’d do the rounds (together) and unenthusiastically ask if we wanted anymore drinks, to which we’d gaspingly beg for more. Also we must’ve heard at least 2 Christmas songs, all at a low decibel. Maybe they didn’t want to Step Into Christmas, but we sure did and Elton would’ve definitely helped on the speakers. Understandably, Christmas is hard on hospitality staff, yet tips go a long way (which they missed out on). Here’s a tip: serve your customers.

   We thought we were walking into a wine shop. Lovely room/conservatory through the back. With booths down one side and small tables down the other. The drinks menu included a good range of spirits, fizz and wines. Small menu for food, this included fresh pizza and sharing platters. We had a meat and cheese sharing platter and garlic bread, both were delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back.
