Took our car here on recommendation as two other auto electrians/garages failed to diagnose or fix multiple issues with our Fiesta; we were at our wit's end and our bank account well over a thousand pounds lighter! Took my car for a problem with a failure on a headlight! Was charged £216 for diagnostics claiming they had to take my car apart to find the problem!! To fix as needed a BDC module £705 Wasn’t impressed So I took it to B&G auto tech in Oldham.. diagnostic £36 and to fix £370!! Disgusting saw me coming! Avoid !!

I took my car to this garage to have an ambient temperature sensor fitted—a straightforward, inexpensive part that takes very little time to install. To my shock, I was charged a staggering £234 for the job. No clear breakdown of the costs was provided, and when I questioned the pricing, I was met with vague explanations and dismissive responses. It’s incredibly disappointing to feel taken advantage of for something so basic. This kind of pricing feels exploitative, especially when compared to what other reputable garages charge for the exact same service. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to ask for a full quote in writing before agreeing to anything here. Transparency and fairness should be a given—unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Thought at first he was good but turns out he’s really not, paid him to come out and diagnose the fault on my bmw after I was getting no power at all, after 3 hours he told me the parts I needed to replace and that he was 99% sure it would start up after replacing the parts, after I ordered the parts he came down and replaced and fitted the parts, power has come back to the car but car does not start, he couldn’t find the fault so was actually pointless in paying him fair enough power come back but car don’t start, after paying him for all that diagnosing and paying to replace the parts he then claimed the car was not recognising my key as he was showing me the ‘live readings’ on his phone using a cheap obd scanner(which the locksmith had said), after calling out a qualified locksmith, he come to see that the key was not actually the problem as it was still in the key files when he read the cas module, he spent 3 hours trying to fix my old key or try make me a new key but was not able to, he then recommended me a trusted Auto electrician who I later spoke to and told everything about the fault and what the previous electrician done, he then told me to see if the part numbers on the ones I ordered match up with my old one, come to see that they don’t match he told me in his experience he always matches up the part number which I thought the previous electrician had done turns out he just entered my car make and sent me the link. He now does not reply and says he will be free after 2 weeks, would not recommend this electrician at All sorry.

Avoid this place! I had simple job to do, my temperature sensor fall off. Two wires to solder, easy access in the bottom of my bumper. I thought if I came in, it will take them 10 minutes to sort it. First I had to wait for somebody to come down from the cosy hide out up stairs and he was not happy that somebody coming when he taking his brake and he said it need to be booked first because "I have nobody standing around and doing nothing" fair enough. It was in Friday around dinner time so I had to come in Monday morning. When I came at 7:50 and I find out I am not booked in and they send me back home. It would be not a big deal but I had to ask my friends to take my kids to school because of that.
