We left at the interval. The jokes were weak and flat and the as lib opportunity to engage the audience really effortful and unengaging. Not sure if this was just a terrible panto script this crew were left or whether they were not sold on it themselves. We felt for them - they seemed half bored. At Β£88 for two people it was a complete disappointment of a panto experience. I’m really sorry to be writing this way but it was a total waste of money

Dick Whittington It seems to me this presentation of Dick Whittington had no relation to Christmas and I’m Not sure how depicting the Gallagher Brothers relates to DW we paid Β£136 for family of 4 I think the performance at best was poor if gives me pleasure rating this review so badly but I’d strongly consider spending your money elsewhere this Christmas

Every year we attend the oxford playhouse panto and thoroughly enjoy them, this year i came away disappointed. The panto is for mainly children all the music was from the 90's most children weren't around then and the main character was a rat called liam gallagher again children wouldnt know who that was .... there was no "hes behind you" or anyvof the normal boo's when the villian appears.. several young children left half way through .... having said that the actors gave a 100 and ten performance Next year maybe try and make it more for the kids rather than the adults

Love it here. Seating, for one, is so much better than the new theatre. The staff here are friendly, and the performances are amazing. I have become a friend of the playhouse and get lots of benefits including half price tickets and early notification of upcoming events.

Enjoyed the night out recently when went to see the production of The King Reggae - The Music featuring Bob Marley's iconic hits. Unlike older theatres, this theatre has no special attractive interior features to mention, however, its well laid out with spacious seats.

In all of my 68+ years I have never been to the Oxford Playhouse. I took my daughter and my granddaughter to see Cinderella last night. It was magical and spellbinding. My girls, two grown women, became two five year old fairy Princess again. Oh yes you did! Thank you to the cast, and theatre staff for a wonderful evening.

Went to watch Cinderella on Saturday, what a great Panto show this year! The best one we have seen here yet. Loved the characters, Modern and cool but still had the old faves- β€œshe’s behind you!”…. My 9 year old daughter loved it, especially the end.

An absolutely beautiful theatre. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your visit is comfortable and enjoyable. Disabled facilities are available and there are adequate toilet facilities available. However as with all theatres the bar and snacks are very expensive.

I saw Bugsy Malone here last week and it was such an energetic play. You could tell the kids were really enjoying themselves, and the theatre itself has a great atmosphere. I loved the community feeling to it. Definitely recommend!

Not been to The Playhouse for several years. What an absolute Amazing Venue it is. Loved the Auditorium Seats, they certainly do ad some colour. The Play, Persuasion (Thursday 5th May 2022) was stunning. It really is a must see Play.
