   Had the head gasket on my 90 repaired earlier in the year. Car needed done extra work done once the engine had been stripped (new fuel injectors). Have had the car back a few months now and I’d say it feels like it’s running better than before. I’ve been towing horses with it regularly too. Good job by Excel and reasonable price for everything all in! There was a bit of a longer wait than expected for the car to be looked at but I wanted to wait as trusted Excel to do a good job.

   Extremely happy with the service I received from Excel Engine Services. Carl was very clear and precise when explaining the problem regarding my cylinder head. He gave options on the best way to go about the repairs and advice was plentiful and honest. I felt reassured knowing that the work carried out was going to be of high standard.    Im fixing up my own car, not a professional mechanic, took my mini r53 cylinder head in after overheating and the team did a competative quote for the work and a great job, plus they answered my emails promptly and phoned me when it was ready. All the staff and owner friendly and helpful. Recommended.

   Thanks to Excel Motors for replacing my vans wet belt and making it safe to drive. They have delt with a difficult situation that presented itself with patience and understanding. Very professional and good value. I had got a number of quotes and theirs was very reasonable and they seemed to understand the issue better than all the other garages who quoted me.

   Absolutely brilliant service from excel engine services, I called at around 10:30am and they told me to come in the same day and got my job done no messing. I had a flywheel which I needed to strip the top layer off and they completed my job within 3 hours. Top class service and polite team aswell.    My Audi A2 needed a reconditioned cylinder head - after some time searching on google and ebay I came across Excel Engine Services. From the intial e'mail enquiry to subsequent phone calls and then follow up queries Carl provided a superb response. Stephen one of the engine workshop staff was also extremely knowledgeable and of great assistance on one of my visits back to the UK - I live in France so it was important that the reconditioned cylinder head purchased was of a standard that I could rely on - it was. If you need any engine work I can fully recommend this company.

   One of the glow plugs was seized on my Nissan Navara which turned on the engine warning light. Spoke to Excel and having seen couple of photos I emailed them of the engine, they confirmed they'll be able to remove the seized glow plug and did tell me it'll take maximum 3 hours. Made the appointment and drove from Bradford yesterday and they delivered exactly what they had promised, removed the glow plug and replaced it with a new one and as a result the engine warning light also disappeared. All done within 3 hours. Extremely happy with their service and I'm just glad I didn't go to any local garage. They are specialists in their field and the trip was well worth it. Five stars

   I drove from Nottingham to Stockport to get my clutch flywheel resurfaced, it was well worth it. Excel has the equipment to do it properly and I am very happy with the result and the lovely swirl finish (before and after images attached). All the staff are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. I dropped the flywheel off, had a wander round Stockport for an hour or so and they contacted me when ready. It’s great that businesses like this still exist – I highly recommend.

   Excellent service! George was very understanding and accommodating of my desperate situation when a seized glow plug snapped in my engine. He was able to fit the job on the same day I called and remove the glow pug, avoiding a much bigger job. Would highly recommend him and the team!
